  • I saw great success with lowering carbs (simple and complex), however, it got to a scary point where I had such low blood pressure and low heart rate that just standing up made me want to faint. I started eating more high carb fruits that I enjoyed (grapes..oh how I love grapes), having oatmeal in the morning (Qi'a…
  • woo I'm in London again!
  • hey i'm in this category..i lost 80lbs before..and gained about 50 back :( (also struggled with an eating disorder and other unhealthy habits) I definitely need to get that 50+ off again.... 5'4'' and 211.2 currently. SW:240
  • awesome! thanks for your help. Good to know that there are other people who have replaced it on their own
  • you look great (before and after!). keep up the hard work
  • thank you! Have you tried this with any other whey?
  • I'd also add in that those chocolate avocado pudding recipes are pretty good. i just mixed in 2 tsp of cocoa with 1 avocado (fairly large one) and 2 tsp of honey. I didn't have any cravings for chocolate at the time but it was satisfying as it was a lot richer and darker.
  • 99% from Lindt or your average Bakers Unsweetened Chocolate (purest form and a decent price too). What's great about Bakers is that it is already wrapped into little servings
  • omg i'm in the same boat. went from an 18 to a 6 and i feel stocky all the time. I have to compare myself to everyone to have an idea of what I really look like now. it is terrible especially went I want to try on new clothes.
  • flat stomach because my stocky legs shows very well that i'm a lady lifter
  • Honestly, I was in this situation and I loved anything that came out of a bakery or a box (it was very easy for me to eat an entire box of stuffing or mac and cheese). But it is easier done than said. Once you start reducing and replacing carbs with whole foods you really wonder what cr@p you used to eat before. Now on my…
  • * Chocolate honey mints * coconut flour * stevia * agave * sunflower seeds * bread (if i ever buy it..60-70 cals a slice!) * salsa (5 cals for 2 TBSP, yes please) * boxed indian food (the lentils or eggplant mix) * peanut butter with flax and chia seeds i'd buy other stuff but it would melt before i hit the border - things…
  • ^even if the match makes sense, if someone eats avocados, cheese, nuts and whey shakes all day, they could feasibly hit their fats and protein without hitting carbs.
  • do you guys log black coffee? brewed is like 4 calories...
  • i've always liked my oatmeal sweet and loaded with cinnamon but the cheddar and more savoury options sound delish! i must try it out
  • that's great advice and definitely something i will need to learn. Right now i'm finding that when i'm not hungry and have loads of calories left at the end of the day i will fill it up. It wouldn't have hurt if i didn't eat anything but i still did because I had 600 calories left. But now..omg i want to eat..i want to so…
  • anything...well specifically cookies or brownies...cake..muffins. anything. oh god i'm doomed

  • guys i'm so hungry! came looking for answers...left hungrier at the thought of eating different things to help stave off the hunger haha bahaha yes.
  • I used casein once...and never will i use it again. I don't know why but I felt "fuller" everywhere especially my legs and arms. As soon as I went back to whey everything deflated haha However, because casein has a much different consistency than whey i couldn't eat it straight from a bowl but it did make mixing it with…
  • ah thanks! Sorry it is 5 days fasting and 2 eating normally! thanks for the link. I'm currently doing IF but doing a 18:6 version. So many versions out there and it is great if you found one that works well for you.
  • i'm curious but how many calories do you eat on the 2 regular days?
  • omg thank you!!!
  • you have really pretty food. sorry can't comment on bento boxes - never used one
  • First and foremost - i'd choose a yummy piece of chicken breast or grilled salmon over a protein bar any day. Use as a supplement only - to supplement your diet when lacking. I agree with quest being a top choice though they are pricey. But check out Simply Protein bars (simplyprotein.ca). Also, know the difference between…
  • Dates will do the trick. Also, are blackbeans considered paleo? If so check out Explore Asian's pasta range. I used to each the mung bean fettuccine but now eat the black bean spaghetti. huge portions, low cal, high protein and moderate carb (though not as much as regular wheat pasta or rice). http://www.explore-asian.com/…
  • gosh i'm having this problem right now..it's been 4 days.... thanks everyone for the insight..i have a weigh-in tomorrow and i kinda want to drop the pounds that don't actually count if you know what i mean. I was very close to grabbing some metamucil but that's a soluble fiber...i definitely need insoluble. Also, I have…
  • If you must, there is a Paleo Protein Bar flavoured like a glazed donut. http://www.julianbakery.com/paleo-product/paleo-protein-bar-glazed-donut-12-bars/
  • gotcha!
  • I don't think I've ever tried rhubarb to be honest. I saw a recipe online a few nights ago for a Rhubarb Lunar Cake and thought it looked very good. Is rhubarb tart like raspberries or have a subdued sweet flavour like blueberries (or something completely different?!)?…
