I'm Chelsea i currently weigh 182lbs I'm 5"3 and most of my weight is from bring pregnant 2 years ago. I'm on a 1,200 calorie diet. I'm keeping track with myfitnesspal and doing exorcises with the workout trainer app. I'd like a diet/fitness buddie! my Facebook is facebook.com/chelzx3 if you're interested!10

Hello! My name is Trevor, and I am going to lose 100 pounds in 2017. My first goal, which may seem quite lofty, is to lose 70 pounds by June. I'm on the right track so far, and hope to continue! Happy new year!10

Hi ladies. I am extremely untechnical, but feel free to add me as a friend I think people are doing here so that we can motivate each other? I don't have Facebook I'm afraid, but I'm on here every day logging my food diary. I'm on a three day streak of staying within my allotted calories. At night I feel tempted to eat but I resisted so far LOL. How about you guys?9

I am in the 100+ category of pounds to lose. I have been back on MFP for 18 days and have lost 11 pounds during that time. I find that I can lose the weight if I track my food and exercise and talk with my MFP buddies each day. When I don't track and interact on here, then I tend to slide off the track and gain weight again. I am not going to let it slide again. I am committing to do this forever so that once the weight is off it stays off! Add me as a friend if you'd like too.10

Hi Trevor, sorry I didn't see your message until now. That's awesome that you have that goal! I have about 75 pounds to lose and I plan to do it in 2017 is well! I am sick of wearing the same old baggy clothes all the time and covering upwhen everyone else is wearing a T-shirt and shorts in the summer LOL. Also, I am tired of avoiding social functions because I am not confident with my looks. That is no way to live, right guys? So let's really do this! Add me as a friend if that's how we can stay connected. I don't quite know what I'm doing LOL.2

I'm technologically challenged as well as overweight. I'm going to lose 75 pounds this year and would love to add more friends. I've been at this over a year and unfortunately many of the people that started with me have dropped off. If you can figure out how to send me a friend request, I'd love to add you. I'm also not on Facebook.5

Wow, I am so surprised that most of the people you started this journey with have dropped off. Well let's make sure that none of us that have commented in this little forum I started, do that! Let's stop using every excuse in the book to fall off the wagon, no matter how bad it is, let's stop using food inappropriately, OK? I hope you guys know what I'm trying to say LOL.3

Hi there I am a stay at home mom who almost 2 years postpartum needs to loose 60lbs. I have had success in the past with My Fitness pal and hope to again. The last time it was only 30lbs that I wanted to loose at the time.

That's awesome guys! We can do this OK? Did anyone else have a flashback to last New Year's Eve when we said that in 2016 we were going to lose all the weight? I did and I just about died. I couldn't believe another year went by where I didn't do anything about it! We must stick to it for 2017 and that's it. We just have to! I do not want another year to pass and then realize, "Oh my God I made the same promise a year ago and I still haven't lost a pound." (And actually every year that goes by I gain a few more pounds!) Haha yes I know what you mean about unflattering photos. I avoid having photos taken of me at all costs! And I'm tired of that! PS I started a little group in the "group" category of the "community" section because I thought that would be easier to communicate. It's called 50 pounds + to lose or something like that. I'm looking at 60 pounds. I'll still be overweight if I get there but I'll feel so much better I think. I've never been below 148 in my adult life no matter how well I took care of myself so I can't say I'm going for 100.1

I'm hoping to lose about 80 pounds this year. I always start a new diet on 1st Jan and usually lose 30 - 40 pounds before gaining it back by the end of the year! This year will be different, I've had enough of failing.

My goal is 50 lbs this YEAR, but I have far more to go after that to get to a healthy weight. I'm definitely a serial starter, too, so I'm trying to do what I can to make small changes every day that will become habits (not jumping in with a huge cleanse/workout program). In the past I drop the first 5-10lbs easily and then I get bored/complacent/stressed/hangry. Today I'm drinking more water and walking during my lunch break.

hey i'm in this category..i lost 80lbs before..and gained about 50 back (also struggled with an eating disorder and other unhealthy habits)

I lost 123 lbs back in 2011-2012 and got to my goal weight but struggled to maintain. I gained some of the weight back and then went through some personal life changes and stress and gained even more back! Now I need to lose about 50-60 lbs. I've been here on MFP since Feb 2011 when I started the first time...so I know I can do this, I just need to buckle down and make it happen!3
