I always got small presents instead of money, like a new coloring book or a pretty bracelet! Money didn't interest me as a child haha

Because when I run I think of it as training to become the next companion to a certain Doctor with a certain blue box....

I get mine done every month. The first few times it was pretty painful, but you get used to it, granted I have a high pain tolerance. For me, its worth it, but I'm kind of high maintenance hahah

I run outside, Im lucky and live where there is a lovely path by the river. Don't be worried about how you look while running! You are doing something amazing and others have no room to judge. I adore the couch to 5k program, on week 5 and am already running close to 3 miles! Ultimately, its your choice, do what makes you…

I loooove tea, but for some reason (mainly because I'm a crazy person) I hate tea unless its loose leaf. I think I just like the process of boiling the water, putting it in my tea pot and using my infuser. BUT back to good teas. I really enjoy Teavana but we don't have one here. Depending on where you live, I would try go…

This thread was calling to me! New-ish to MFP and would love some like minded friends! HUUUUUUUUUUGE Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter fan. I also really love Walking Dead, Star Wars ,GAME OF THRONES and Jurassic Park. Not so much of a gamer, in fact, I am completely oblivious when it comes to gaming. But I…

Im on week 4 of c25k and I have to say, I reallllllly was not having fun the first 2 weeks. I would run every other day and my legs were SO SO sore. I found that if I have a protein shake after it gets rid of the soreness. Keep it up, Im loving running now, I just had to get through the first 2 week, which was rough for me.

I second the brace with hinges. I'm training to run a 5k and I had an injury that left me unable to walk for about 2 months. I pop an advil about an hour before I run, and use a heating pad to heat my knee for about 30 minutes, then after my run I ice it for 30 minutes and it really seems to help! Good luck, hope the knee…

Hey! I started the couch to 5k program about a month ago. I was kinda nervous about it because around a year ago I had a knee problem that left me unable to walk for 2 months. I was having the same problem as you, my shins and ankles were not feeling well AT ALL around the second week. I find that After I run if I drink a…

Started training for a 5k about 3 weeks ago. Im completely new to running and loved the idea of minimalist/Barefoot running, however I have just recovered from a serious knee injury, so I was a bit apprehensive. I bought myself some Nike Free + 2s and I loooooove them. I bit more cushioned than some of the minimalist…
