Hey there —- I’ve been on Remicade, and Humira, both while taking Imuran and Lialda. Remicade worked kinda for about 4 weeks each time but insurance wouldn’t approve that close of dosage for me. Humira didn’t work at all... it hurt like a son of a *kitten*, and my joints hurt so bad! I also developed psoriasis from it,…

Got some pretty sucky news last night from my GI— the infusion meds (Entyvio) I have been on are not working, nor in my system at all. I developed antibodies and can no longer take it. Damnit! I waited a year for insurance to approve it for me. In other news, I’m unable to eat most vegetables and fruits as it exacerbated…

Anyone...?

You can PM me your height, weight, activity level, approximate body fat (which can be calculated by using fat2fit radio -- google that) age... I should be able to figure something out for you. I firmly believe in IIFYM (if it fits your macros)... there are no "bad" foods in my eyes, you just have to work it in to your…

I recommend you read and review the links I've given you. I may not have had 50+ pounds to lose, but I've lost over 20. 1200 is what is given to most women who come on this site/app..
-
Here are some useful links with loads of information. Honestly, if you don't plan on eating 1200 calories for the rest of your life, I wouldn't start now. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants…

Not knowing anything about you... but seeing you say you need to lose 56+ pounds, I'd guess eating 1200 calories will not be enough. If you give some details (height, weight, activity level, approximate bodyfat percentage) I could run you some numbers. But typically 1200 calories is too low for a lot of people..…

Uh.... how many calories is that? That sounds like a pretty big loss in a short amount of time, and... why do you need to take all that crap? Couldn't you just eat at a deficit, and eat food that might actually be satisfying and something you might stick to?

Unless her doctor has told her to avoid sugar or salt, there is not any issue with consuming either of those... added or naturally occurring in food. :flowerforyou:
-
No. I don't believe the hype of "cleanses" or "detox" diets or anything... Because, you're right. My body has a really good filtration system in place!
-
A google search will provide you with much, if not all, of the information you need regarding IF :flowerforyou: I did that for a year, and loved it!
-
Strong first post... Please, tell me. How is it these so called "detoxes" and "cleanses" help you draw out more impurities? Your body already does this naturally, and can't process any more than it's supposed to in one day... right? The only thing that is significantly impacted by these is your wallet, and your toilet....…

Sugar is just a carb and should be treated as such... A good macronutrient ratio would be 40/40/20 for carbs/proteins/fats. Eating fat is essential to body functions, and being afraid of sugar without a medical reason is silly.
-
Pick something that seems similar and guestimate... being over one day will not hurt you, and being afraid to have fun with your family is no way to live.
-
You said what I was going to say... but a lot more eloquently  :flowerforyou:

In my experience, water weight is lost FAST.... in a larger amount than "normal" weight. You will be able to tell by measurements, I believe, and after the initial losses, that are bigger, even out and get a little smaller.
-
That's a load of bull... how on earth does your body know what time it is? Is your nutritionist suggesting that if I eat a cracker at 7:59pm that it will be processed properly, but, not if I eat that same cracker at 8:01? How would that be?
-
This sounds pretty good -- but... it's definitely not going to be packed with protein. It's packed with carbs and fats, and the fats are probably what are keeping you full. Still, sounds yummy, and IIFYM, why not?!
-
Sugar isn't bad for you unless your doctor has advised that you stay away from it... It's a carb... Focus on carbs as a whole instead of sugar. Stop looking at the number, and instead focus on something like..... Fiber.... instead.
-
Wait.... :noway: WHAT?!
-
That sounds like a great idea.... !
-
Jonny -- how can we get these people to stop being afraid of sugar???

:flowerforyou:

In. Because, if I had 25% of my intake from added sugar, my life would be so much more awesome.....! :flowerforyou:

I wouldn't say they are loaded with protein... for the calorie count, they're actually a low protein snack... most people eat them for the healthy fats. Try a tablespoon or two of peanut butter or almond butter on some celery or something as an exchange.
-
I believe they were actually just trying to be helpful -- And it seems as if you've found a reason to say that you either won't, don't want to, or can't follow most of it. If you don't want advice (that you asked for or didn't) don't post on the forums.... Personally, if I were in your position, I would be grateful that I…

You make it sound SO easy, Jonny....

Missed appointments count as charges, and... if you had received a bill and never paid it, then... well, sorry, you owe it. I'd just make a payment plan and pay them. They won't leave you alone, and will probably attempt to find a friend or family member to start harassing if you don't buck up.
-
You BITE YOUR TONGUE! Bread is not bad! LOL I'm an IIFYM-er, and there is no such thing as a good carb or a bad carb, in my opinion!
-
I'd be more than happy to calculate numbers for you.... since you have a boy-part, 1200 is too low. Please PM.
