If I know I'm drinking that night, I always try and get a workout in that morning and I make it a good one! When I'm actually out I try and keep to vodka and diet mixers, or something similar, never touching wine and cocktails (usually!) plus I try and make sure I have something healthy in the fridge for when I get home…

My Zumba class is horribly over crowded and there are 4 pillars in the middle of the room so I can't always see the front! The instructor (I think) seems to check her phone in between songs as well whilst we stand around which is very annoying, also she tends to start around 5 minutes late, and finishes 5 minutes early,…

I sacrificed television. And generally just sitting around! Still do quite a lot of that though...

I'm from Yorkshire, happy to receive any friend requests! :)

I'm 5'10" and I would say yes it's physically possible but not if you are looking to do it in a healthy way. And given that the reason we are all here is to generally get healthy I wouldn't recommend trying if you're in it for the long term. 8lbs would be a more realistic target.

People who deliberately keep cardio equipment like treadmills or cross trainers occupied and text their friends to let them know they are getting off so they can stand behind them and jump on straight away before anybody else has time to register there is a free machine. So annoying if you've been waiting for a machine!

If you're committed you should be able to do 40lns in 5 months, I lost over 40lbs in 5 months myself :)

I was in a nightclub dancing with 3 friends, I caught a look at myself in the mirror and actually didnt recognise myself, when I compared myself to my 3 friends I just thought "Oh god I'm 22 and I'm a complete mess! How did I let this happen!" Coincidentally it was New Years Eve, but I didnt make a resolution or anything…

Theres a lady in my office (who I am sure probably means well) who says "Thats not like you, whats going on" every single time I have a biscuit or any type of snack at work, which is very annoying because it makes me feel extra guilty but I wish she wouldnt say it so loud and make everybody turn and look, I dont take one…

When he's truly ready to lose the 20lbs he will ask you not to buy the food anymore. I know its not nice but there isnt much point in trying to get him to do it because he could end up resenting you for it. Best you can do now is set a good example! :)

I'm with you on this too, me and my boyfriend have lost 3 and a half stone each and people mainly comment on his weight, which is really annoying! I have put it down to the fact that I am quite a bit taller than him, therefore I carry my weight much better, whereas his was on his middle and face so I think its more…

He would probably be horrified if he knew his comment had upset you to this level (although I am with you on that front, I would be really annoyed if I were in your position), sounds like he just needs to have a little lesson in tact, maybe you need to have a bit of a chat with him.

I used to do everything at home but over xmas I got out of the routine of doing anything and struggled to get back into it, so I decided that I needed to change something. Now I have joined the gym and certainly working out more than I was before!

My SO is very supprortive. He is losing weight too, I find often that we bounce off each other and if he does well one week it inspires me to do better next week and vice versa. I exercise and he doesnt really, but will always encourage me to do so if I am feeling down about it. Our relationship is much stronger since we…

I dont like the way Americans pronounce patronise "pay-tro-nise" instead of "pah-tro-nise" although it doesnt really affect my life as I'm not there!

I enjoyed the Bronze in Gymnastics, but my hours at work mean I miss most of it so granted I have only seen a little bit! But I am going to see Team GB in the football tomorrow and start working at one of the venues from Monday so will hopefully be more involved from then, and might even get a glimpse of some of the events!

I think it is useful as a general guideline but I resent that the NHS see this as a way of categorizing us. My BMI is currently 34 so I am still classed as obese but yet I am a UK dress size 16, most people are shocked to hear that I am technically classed as "obese". However before I put on my weight I was a UK size 10/12…

Getting a generic polo shirt from work that I have to wear at an event on sunday and fitting into an M. Seriously! I think I nearly cried with happiness.

In the family sweepstake I drew England. And Russia. Gutted. I'm all for England, what with me being from the UK, but they always disappoint! Couldn't face so much pain so put a fiver on Germany to win. Come on Germany!!

My co-worker next to me eats quite healthy, usually a salad sandwich or cous cous etc. The other two guys around me usually bring the typical packed lunch in (sandwich, fruit, crisps) but the problem with my office is the biscuits. Somebody always brings in biscuits! And I sit next to the biscuit cabinet! Aaaargh! Its like…

If I have had a day where I have gone over my calories in a major way (e.g. a friends brithday or something) then I will wait until the next day before I log it, I have been doing this long enough now that I know full well that I have gone over my calories but I also trust myself not to go mad and eat everything in sight.…
