I am getting married in March. Feel free to add me, could use the support!!

I do burlesque chair dancing (an exercise class, not on stage!), that is very fun and not too hard on knees/ankles etc... It doesn't burn as much as Zumba though as there isn't much cardio so it depends on what you are looking for. I generally make sure the next day I do something more intense if I need a higher burn…

My routine is: Monday - 1 hr dancing (burlesque class so generally not a huge burn but good for balance and core) Tuesday - 45 mins spin Wednesday - 30 mins Meta-Fit, depending on the routine it varies in how much cardio there is Thursday - summer: 5k run, winter: gym, or rest of I've eaten well over the week Friday - rest…

I trashed crisps. It was very sad but a necessary evil, as I seem to have no control when eating them so it's better for me to cut them out completely!
-
Well you obviously felt bad enough about it to start this thread, so try and have something light for the rest of the day, move on and and smash it tomorrow! It happens to everybody sometimes, it just doesn't want to be a habit!

Mines open, always has been, I often forget other people can actually see in it!
-
Mine hasn't been as busy as I thought it would be, the spin class hasn't even been full and that's normally full even without the January rush!
-
One thing that works for me is to go to exercise classes/the gym straight after work, before sitting down or having dinner. That way I don't have enough time to worry about being motivated or not!
-
Also, persist, go to at least 3 classes before thinking about whether to carry on. The first couple are always harder because you are not sure what you are doing.
-
Go! It's pretty much my only form of exercise. I do Zumba, Burlesque Dancing, Spin & Meta-Fit. Each one is different, with a different agenda for me. The instructor is very important, you'll probably find you gel more with some than others, then you can drop the ones you don't like! Tell them it's your first class at the…

I had another day with no additional snacking other than what I had planned, so that's 8 days in a row! Yay!
-
I find it's generally easier to not have any at all rather than limiting to one or two, so I tend to stay well away from them. It is tempting though! If I am tempted I look at the nutritional info first, then usually back away quickly! If I need to buy treats for my team I now split it and get half chocolate and half nice…

This. Don't panic, just put it down as experience and work on having an amazing week to make up for it. It happens to everyone, it is totally fixable!
-
My mini goal is to stick to my plan as much as I can before my anniversary dinner with my other half on 29th Jan, and to fit back into my pre-holiday clothes. I'm hoping to do that before March if possible!
-
The best one is the one that you look forward to the most and keeps you moving! If you're going to exercise long term then it needs to be something you are passionate about.
-
Well done, that's great! Everybody has different goals and obviously this mattered to you so why to go! I've gone a whole week without any form of bread which is a huge win for me so I know how you feel!
-
I generally don't, I tend to only count calories from specific exercises I have done, but it's nice to have a buffer in case I go slightly over
-
Why not get involved in some college sports activities? I didn't go to university myself but I understand they have teams such as netball, football etc. I always make sure I go to the gym on a Saturday morning to bank a few extra calories if I know I'm going out, so the extra exercise might help.
-
Just say "no thank you", most people will be fine. If they still insist and you feel uncomfortable, just leave it on the side, when they see it hasn't been eaten they won't insist again!
-
I think as long as it's in moderation, nothing is off limits!
-
I did Slim Fast a few years ago with limited success, so I could be wrong but I think it generally works when you follow the plan as it's supposed to be? To be honest I'd probably say that if you're worried about slipping into old habits it's probably worth addressing this first as you might slip into them when you come…

There was once a charity bake sale on at work, and as I was going it the gym later that day I decided to treat myself to a cupcake (all for a good cause right?!) and as I walked back to my desk my boss (male) says "should you be eating that, I thought you were on a diet" he said it so loud and everybody turned around. It…

My partner motivates me by supporting me though my bad days and encouragement etc, however each to their own and if it works for you then fair enough. I disagree with the points on needing to have joint funds with your partner though, we've lived together for years and all our money is separate apart from household bills,…

I now have an inflated credit card bill because of all the new clothes I just HAVE to buy... Also I can't hold my vodka anymore. Damn.
-
I guess it would annoy me if it was overpowering but I can't say I've ever smelt anything so bad it's bothered me... Hey maybe I'm just too focused on my workout to notice!
-
Variety is the key, I think you need to mix it up a bit, even if it's just a few soft exercises at home
-
I have vodka or gin with a diet mixer :)

If this couple are not right for each other then it will fall apart in its own time regardless of your input, these things generally do. So could you just stay in touch, maybe through social media or something, to see what happens to them? If they break it off then you would be free to tell him how you feel without feeling…

Somebody told me at a party in front of everybody that I'd lost so much weight that I looked even smaller than her... Then there was an awkward moment when everybody looked embarrassed as I was still clearly overweight and she is very tiny so it was so untrue it was laughable! I think the comment was genuinely meant well…

You can add me if you like :)
