Hi, I have also just recently started running, done a 5k fun run last week and (trying to) prepare for a 10K in May. I don't feel that the treadmill works me the same for stamina etc, and I also find it really boring. If possible, I would think that you should get some road practice in prior to the 5K. Congratualtions, you look fantastic. I am struggling to get the scales moving at the moment, have increased my exercise but not sure about eating those exercise calories. Did you eat your exercise cals every day?:flowerforyou:

I know exactly how you are feeling (disappointed & frustrated) like me!I have not been eating my exercise calories as I do not feel the need or desire to do so. Allowed 1200 cals by mfp guide, and this is more than adequate. My BMI is 29.5 and not moving down, 5 ft 1 in weight 155, need to lose 30 pounds.

Hi guys, please join me in .... i need help to kick dtart my metabolism. I have been sticking to the 1200 calories, increased my exercise, jogging mostly, but i am stuck. I don't feel the need or desire to eat my exercise calories. ANY HELP MOST APPRECIATED :huh:

Thanks for all the advice, but I can't get my head round the exercise calories thing - I am mostly sticking to the 1200 calories and don't feel the need or desire to eat my exercise calories. I have always gone by the common thing of eat less ,exercise more, but I am not getting the results.

I have recently started running/jogging about 4 weeks ago, and completed my first 5K at the weekend. I was hoping that adding this extra exercise would give me rapid results with weight loss but so far.. not a lot. Any ideas or advise please????:huh:

Hi, just wondering how many corners of the globe are on mfp at mo. I am in Glasgow, UK, working from home - taken a short break just now. The weather is cold, wet, and windy - roll on summer! Thinking go going for a run later but the weather is not inspiring me - need my butt kicked into action.
