Yes I feel the same way. I used to avoid mirrors but now I search them out because it makes me feel so good to see how I now look. I am starting to get used to the new me.

Calorie controlled diet. Eat less calories than my body needs to lose weight or eat more calories than my body needs to gain weight.

It sounds like your goal is to be between 1200 and 1800 calories. Less calories means faster weight loss, more calories slower weight loss. It is your choice as to how fast or slow you want to lose weight and you are the only one that is qualified to make that choice.

Yes it is possible to lose weight without the gym. It is possible to lose weight if you are bedridden. Exercise helps with burning extra calories and also physical fitness and improving overall health. Losing weight is 100 percent dependent on eating less calories than your body needs.

When I was in junior high school was the first time I ever felt fat. It has been downhill ever since then [haha]. But now I am at a 23 bmi in the healthy range burning about 2500 calories per day and I am happy with that at 53 years old.

I am having the opposite problem. I find it very easy to eat or drink more calories, a handful of nuts or a few spoons of peanut butter and I am already close to my goal. I used to eat 3000 to 4000 calories per day so trying to stay under 2000 is a new learning experience for me. Fats are 9 calories per gram so it doesn't…

It took 3 weeks to see the scale go down when I increased my exercise but when it did the loss was big. I felt slimmer and slimmer but the extra water weight was masking the fat loss.

My sisters helped me to lose weight by being a living example for me. They eat a healthy diet and live a healthy lifestyle. There is nothing that they could say that would have helped. Their lack of condemnation and judgement was the best help I have ever received. If it is something she wants to talk about then listen…

Being patient is one of the most difficult things with weight loss. I went three weeks in December without a loss on the scale but after that a big drop. I was exercising more than usual and my body was holding extra water. Sometimes the weight drops off in chunks. Keep your calories low enough and you will see the scale…

Walking is my favorite thing to do and it is good for my mind and body.

Drinking does not make you fat. Too many calories make you fat. Just keep track of the calories and if they are low enough it will work out.

I have eaten 6300 calories in one day and have also eaten 0 calories in one day. One day of 0 calories did not make me skinny and one day of 6300 calories did not make me fat. However I do average my calories by the week and by the month and try to stay within a certain range to reach my goals. If I were to slightly…

If you are trying to lose 169 pounds then eating less calories is a good thing to be doing. 300 calories per day is close to 1/2 pound per week which is not a problem unless you do not to want to lose that 1/2 pound.
-
Yes it is okay to take an average calorie intake. You have an average daily intake of 1950 calories per day over the last two months and 2200 less 1950 is 250 per day cut which should be 1/2 pound loss per week average or 4 pounds loss for 2 months. Congratulations on your loss you are doing a great job! My wife is also 5'…

No you do not need to eat more calories. You need to eat less calories. More calories means slower weight loss. Congratulations on your loss so far.

I wish I could trade problems with you. I find it very easy to eat and drink the extra calories needed to maintain or gain. There are a lot of foods on my [ wish I could eat more of them] list. I am sure mine are different than yours but there must be something you used to eat or used to eat more of that you would now be…

You averaged 1700 calories per day for six days, it sounds like you are doing well to me. It is only one week. My last binge was 6300 calories in one day and I have lost 15 pounds since then. One or two bad days doesn't mean failure!

At the calories you are eating now you will be losing 4 or more pounds per week. Exercise is not a requirement for weight loss so even if you are in bed 24/7 you will still lose weight if you eat less calories than your body needs. In order to lose weight in a healthy way it would be better if you ate more than you are…

If you are eating a total of 1500 calories per day then you would be losing 2 to 4 pounds per week. That would be considered too fast for someone with so little fat to lose. 2000 to 2250 should be low enough to lose at a reasonable rate. Scale weight can fluctuate 5 or more pounds daily so don't be too focused on the…

I can lose or gain 15 pounds depending on how high or low my carb intake is but it is only water weight and not fat. To lose extra body fat I eat less calories than my body needs. That is what has been working for me.

I have only been married for 34 years. I am still trying to figure out the key to a long successful marriage.

My diary is open.

Tuesday 1887 calories, Wednesday 2039 calories

Processed foods do not hinder fat loss unless you eat more of them than your body needs.

It is normal for me. I have lost 10 pounds overnight. My weight fluctuates 5 to 15 pounds depending on the circumstances. Carbs, sodium, excessive exercise, drinking lots of water or lots of food, are just a few of the things that can make my scale weight go up. I try to keep in my mind that it is only temporary and the…

All junk food if it doesn't put me over on the calories I am trying to eat.

The only thing that has worked for me is to eat and drink less calories than my body needs. With total starvation you will lose the most weight but it is not as healthy as eating more and losing at a slower rate. Eating more calories has never helped me to lose weight faster. My personal preference is to eat more protein…
