Am I going to burn out doing this?

Hi everyone, I'm in my first week of using MFP, and I am having some problems meeting my calorie goal everyday. It is 2130, which is just so much since I'm paying more attention to my body and what I am eating and when I'm hungry. When I add exercise in, I am usually at a net of under 300 calories, sometimes even -calories. I know this isn't great but will I really burn out eventually or am I okay since I'm not hungry? If you want to see my diary to get an idea of what I mean you can add me, but I'm just not sure how to get more calories in without going crazy. Any suggestions? Someone said I should maybe cut down my exercise, but we're closing my pool this weekend so I will be doing other stuff that probably won't burn quite as much, and I like exercising everyday. I'm just skeptical of if it is really that bad for me to keep eating the way I have been... Thanks for the help!

If you are going by MFP estimates for swimming calories, they are way off. MFP told me I was burning 900 something calories for an hour of moderate swimming. I used my Heart rate monitor one day, the REAL burn was 200! Be aware, you may not be burning what you think you are.

If you are trying to lose 169 pounds then eating less calories is a good thing to be doing. 300 calories per day is close to 1/2 pound per week which is not a problem unless you do not to want to lose that 1/2 pound.

That's kind of what I thought on the swimming thing, it seems way off, lol. I'm still not hitting 2130 calories a day which is more than okay with me, I just don't want to hurt things in the long run. Because while It'd be nice to lose more right away, I want to lose it all long term more.

They said NET 300 calories, not deficit. Netting 300 calories isn't healthy, period.

as you have so much weight to lose, you can get away with a larger deficit... that being said, you dont have to starve yourslef to lose weight.

try and aim to eat 2000 cals, and for now dont worry about your net until you have lost 50lbs.
