  • hot or iced blonde roast with a shot of sugar free vanilla. no cream or milk, the vanilla adds just enough flavor. i've slowly learned to give up my beloved amaretto creamer :)
  • What a great day! I cracked up about your hair comment...go buy that lotto ticket! :)

  • Last night before school I couldn't fight it and had a huge slice of pizza. School got out early so I went home, changed and hit the gym around 8pm. I had an awesome speed interval workout and felt STRONG at the end. So happy I didn't just lay on the couch :)
  • I found this recipe on a thread here...it's with spinach and feta but there's other options like adding bacon or whatever your taste is. Mediterranean Egg Cups 1/8 Cup Chopped frozen Spinach (thawed) 1 TBSP Crumbled Feta 1 tsp Chopped sun Dried Tomatoes 4 TBSP Egg Whites Put Spinach, feta, and sun dried tomatoes in a…
  • Just got the DVD in the mail today!!! I'm going to start it tomorrow but will keep up with everyone about progress :)
  • My knees ache after I'm done running, not so much during. They also kill when I try to do lunges. I went to a NovaCare specialst and they said that my knee cap is kind of off center(?)/rubbing (it makes a clicking noise when I walk up and down stairs)... maybe from bad form when lifting. Be careful about that. Try to make…
  • I always do! My favorite recipe for a sweet potato is to slice it thinly and lay the slices out on a cookie sheet. I sprinkle them with a little garlic salt and pop them in the oven to bake for 30 min (flipping after 15 min). They're delicious and sometimes I don't even eat the whole thing because there's so many slices!
  • I HATE drinking water! I never feel thirsty either and it seems like a chore to chug it down. My drink is to fill my Nalgene up. I try to drink 3 of them during the work day, and I'll put a crystal light mix in one of them just to mix it up. One before lunch, one during lunch, and one before I leave to go home. That way,…
  • Ok question: I was on this website everyday doing really well and getting into running back in the beginning of the year. I signed up for my first half marathon that is next weekend! I was doing great and following the training schedule for the first month. THEN....I moved to a different city with all of my friends and…
  • HELP! I have fallen off the wagon so hard I don't even know where the wagon is anymore! I just moved on the first of the month to the city where all of my friends are, where things stay open late, and hwere there is junk food and beer at every corner! Since moving I've completely lost track of what I'm eating, I've run…
  • no running today. cardio kickboxing at the gym instead! happy friday!!
  • those days are the worst! i get them all the time. just try to keep yourself busy with other things. make lists of stuff you need to get done, take on a new project around the house, clean, organize, WHATEVER you can do to keep your mind busy and occupied. hope that helps
  • planks planks planks!!!!! :flowerforyou:
  • you could try adding some low fat cottage cheese to your breakfast. that has some good protein in it.
  • Great article! I try to eat breakfast everyday, but sometimes I end up just throwing some cereal in a bag and eating it on my drive to work. Not the most ideal! I like the idea of trying to eat a full balanced breakfast for the next 7 days to see how you feel. I'm gonna try it!! :drinker:
  • haha i'm pretty convinced that ab wheel is not for getting abs, it's for when you already have a six pack!!
  • i bought that ab wheel a million years ago and have used it all of two times. part of the problem was that my abs were so weak i just couldn't do it (so obviously it will get easier the more you do it) but i also found that it put a ton of pressure on my lower back to make up for my weak core. i already have lower back…
  • going for 3 after work today plus some strength training. day 3 of marathon training...whoohooo!

  • everybody falls off the wagon (myself included...2 weeks!!) but if it were easy to do this, everyone would be thin and healthy. it takes effort to get there and make this lifestyle change. you are doing it. the first step is to realize what you're doing and how to fix it. it seems that you have done that. keep your head…
  • I can't believe last nights episode. I am still so sad about Kristin. I really wanted her to go to the end :frown: ron is a two timing back stabber, and last nights episode cemented the fact that i can't stand him :explode:
  • That's awesome...it sounds like you are on the way to making a permanent lifestyle change! congrats!! You and I seem to have very similar goals/pasts. I am a UW-Madison alum (!!!), I also hide my weight well because of my height (which I hate, especially because ppl can't see the weight but I sure know its there!), and I…
  • I'm sure this has been brought up, but what do you all do when you order from a chain and it's not on here. I am ordering a pizza from an italian place tonight and i called to see if they had the nutritional info available and they don't. i can't put it in ingredient by ingredient because i don' t know what they are using.…
  • I am doing 14 weeks of training. I think I'm not supposed to start until the first week of may, but I'm going to do the first week twice since I am just getting back into running after being sick. I'm so excited!!
