What made my day today

The jug on the water cooler was empty. I pulled it out, walked over, picked up a new one, and easily placed it on the dispenser.

I've done this before, but usually, while not a struggle, it's been cumbersome. Today, it was nothing. I feel strong!

And strong is the new sexy!

So what did you do today that made your day?

That's great! I know exactly what you're talking about... we have one at our work too, and it's heavy and awkward!!

Today I ran... RAN... on the treadmill... for the first time and I don't know how long, and it felt great!

    Awesome.
  • I did my first track workout today and learned what high-intensity interval training (HIIT) REALLY means. It was a ton of fun!

I went through the day and only sat down long enough to complete my reports at work; the rest of the day I was on my feet and kept moving, kept doing things to keep busy and burn those calories.....

That's a great kind of day. I love it when I feel like I've gotten a lot done and still have energy for more. Those days are becoming more frequent, but it's not every day yet.

But I'm going to make today one of those days... :)

Let's keep up finding good parts of our days. So much that's posted here is about how frustrating this journey is. Let's make it a point to find the positives in each day!

    Anyone else?

Last night before school I couldn't fight it and had a huge slice of pizza. School got out early so I went home, changed and hit the gym around 8pm. I had an awesome speed interval workout and felt STRONG at the end. So happy I didn't just lay on the couch :)

I'm on day 3 of week 2 of C25K. Each day I've kind of dreaded it, being afraid of failure. Today I nailed it and felt good at the end! I'm actually looking forward to starting week 3!

today i did week 4 day 2 of the Couch to 5K....I thought I would die during the first 1/2 mile run....on the second 1/2 mile run, I told myself to keep going, keep going...then all of a sudden, this is weird, it got easier, and I still felt like running when it was done, so, I ran a few more blocks!
  • I was rubbing my shoulder last night and it dawned on me that there was less of me there!!!! I had to check the otherside too to make sure I was balanced!!!!! lol!!!

Ran a 5K this morning in 28:40. 2 months ago it was 36:00. Then managed to do another 45 min on the ellip this evening.

    Good Day!

Sounds silly but I have been strength training and have gotten up to 20lbs DB on seated shoulder press.

Today when I was working on a group circuit training class, after 45 mins of class and other crazy exercises, I was doing standing shoulder presses with 8 lb DB's like they were too light and I needed something more. Since this was more of high reps/low weight circuit, I didnt want to go crazy but usually at 45 mins of strenuous workout, I am looking for something like 5 lb DB's to get me through the last 15 mins....I was so happy :)
