Oooooh! Babysitter sounds wonderful! Ball tourney for us this weekend. :grumble: Have a blast!
Did an easy 31/2 miles today. Will do a long run tomorrow or Sunday. Will be glad to get this weight off so running will get easier!!! I must be patient with 1 lb a week. :explode:0 -

3 miles. Allergies are NUTS today. Having trouble breathing more now that I just finished running.
Just wondering here in the runner's clubs if anyone else runs a pretty hilly course? In 3 miles, I probably have .5 total of somewhat flat surface.
Also - I saw a flyer for a 5k on May 23 and I think I'm going to run it! I get a t-shirt and a water bottle if I run. Plus, I get to say with pride I've run in another race!0 -

Congratulations on catching the race bug! Races are fun. I love being in one place with so many people that love running.
I run a very hilly course every time I run. I used to hate it when I first started running. Now I LOVE it. Most of the time when I go to races or run in other places with friends, I run well because there aren't any hills. Just think of your hilly course as speed work in disguise. Be sure to check out Runner's World for some great tips on your form when running hills.0 -

Me too! Running is so much easier when I reach my goal weight. Hang in there! I'm doing one pound a week too. We can support each other.:flowerforyou:0 -

Kechiemc, I've only been in two other races before. It's an 8k that I plan on running for the rest of my life! haha. My experiences have been awesome with that race. Lots of fun.
Thank you so much for the runner's world tip. I'm going to definitely check it out! No doubt some days I definitely dislike the hills more than others.0 -
