Join a fitness class at your gym. Not only do you learn how to exercise properly and with good form, but, for me anyway, it helps to have someone tell me what to do. I know that my workouts in my classes are way harder than what I would put on myself.

Take it from an old lady, that feeling will never go away but will diminish in time. BTW - love the second pic, that belongs on a t-shirt!

Damn Wu-tang! Lookin' good!

I feel you, I just don't have the energy or motivation to work out after I've worked all day. So, to solve that problem, I work out in the AM, getting up at 4am to do it! The only downfall is that I feel so good after a good workout that I want to keep going!

Moving usually helps with soreness. You may want to take it easy on yourself starting out but even if you go when really sore, it's amazing how the soreness kinda goes away as your muscles warm up during the workout. To fight off muscle fatigue, I do Casein protein at night, right before bed. It is a slow digesting protein…

Thanks for the info. Whatever you are doing, it sure is working! I'm CrossFit 3x per week plus 1 strickly lifting class per week. Pretty much maintaining my weight right now but will try a cut in the fall to lose some % in body fat.

Do you use a program for cutting/massing? I purchased RP template a while back and haven't been able to pull the trigger yet. Your post is definitely pushing me in that direction, you look fantastic!

Joined CrossFit a couple months ago, I'm hooked! Love the trainers and the people!

Exercise, good food choices, all of that. But, the biggest change I have made is to change the way I think about food and exercise. I now exercise and eat a healthy diet so I can live a long happy life. The other stuff, like fitting into a smaller pair of jeans is secondary.

I have found, over time, that making small changes and taking a few risks are so worth it. I now eat whole grains as much as possible and have given up things that just are not good for my heart or well being, like mayo and fried foods. My food choices are so much better now and I no longer even want certain foods that…

Love overnight oats! I just do 1/2 cup of oats and a cup of cashew milk. Sometimes add some brown sugar, but I'm going to try the Chia seeds, that sounds great! I agree with you Marv, to each his own. Now that the weather is getting colder, I sometimes heat up my cold overnight oats to just warm the next day. Otherwise, I…

Thanks! Congratulations to you as well, we are all a work in progress. It sure feels good to feel good! I also have a drink or two on occasion. Since I only drink rarely, my tolerence is pretty low. I guess I'm a cheap date

I quit drinking to lose weight as well. The benifits are way more than just weight lose. I was able to quit smoking, skin looks great, feel wonderful, brain fog is gone, saving money, exercise more, etc.... best thing I ever did for myself!

The non-refined brown rice varieties are generally better for you, and contain more fiber that fills you up. I've been eating brown basmati rice cooked with a little coconut butter. Delish!
-
I use Cashew Milk. It's pretty creamy and only 25 calories per cup.

I'm all about easy. Easier the better! I make up a batch of quinoa (easy as cooking rice). Cool it down and add whatever to it. I throw in low fat feta, celery, tomatoes, grapes, pine nuts. I leave in the fridge and eat as a side to chicken, burger, etc... get rotisserie chickens at the store, toss the skin and bones and…

When you get to 426 lbs and you start your journey, get back to me.
Awesome! Not only on your weight loss but also your snappy comebacks!

I do 4 days a week - 45 minutes per of a cross fit type workout. Love it!

I live in Coeur d'Alene. Thinking about volunteering this year since I only live a couple blocks from downtown. Let us know your race number and I will give you a shout out on the course!

I really identify with this post. The big thing is the drinking. I quit drinking and will only indulge rarely. Most of my friends who drink think that I must have dropped off the face of the earth. I'm just not in the same place they are anymore, but I still miss them.

"I have no idea, I never used to weigh myself"
I am sooo stealing this!

Opps! Meant jar, not gar :s
-
Grab a tall mason gar and add - 1 cup grapeseed oil, 1 cup apple cider vinegar, tablespoon of dijon mustard, and then get some of those squeeze tubes of garlic, lemongrass, dill, basil. Give a squeeze of one or several, mix well, taste, adjust. This will last in the fridge for a couple of weeks. Good on any salad,…

Love my nutribullet! It sure cuts up veggies, fruit, and ice well. Frozen blueberries especially! I like the way it whips in air so smoothies almost feel like your drinking milkshakes.

If you add up all the milk I add to coffee and my protein shake, it's probably at least 2 cups a day. Dairy tends to upset my stomach. I prefer Cashew milk. It seems creamier than Almond milk and has a more neutral flavor and only 25 calories a cup.

Anyone try quark? I am finding I like it better than greek yogurt, closer to sour cream. Yummy with sweet added or just savory, it's wonderful on a baked sweet potato
