• How long have you been on your current workout plan? You have to remember that muscle weighs more than fat, so you could be shedding fat and building lean muscle... As for today, I got in 1940 cals, and was over by 230. That includes a regular southern breakfast of Biscuits, with Eggs and Gravy + Turkey sausage patties.…
•
Is it Legano? I'm a Sprint watcher. Talledega, you got an extra ticket, TheMeatman?????
Sorry, I still gotta get tickets myself. Sadly the Nationwide race is smack in the middle of my son's baseball game. His jersey number, since he was 5, is 20. He is the biggest Tony Stewart fan, and man was he mad when…
• This week, April 16-19 at Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama is Mustang's 45th Anniversary celebration. Is anyone here from the area and planning to attend? It should be an amazing show with over 1900+ cars registered so far (If memory serves.) http://www.mustangevents.org/MCA.cfm?home
• We got Talladega coming up shortly. Anybody going?
• The wife and I just finished "Australia." I openly admit to being in LOVE with Nicole Kidman, and watched this not knowing what to expect, and enjoyed it. A bit long, but a good flick.
• As an Ex-Soldier I can't stress this enough...Get Running Now! Our PT goal used to be 2 miles in 14 mins, and when I first joined up I was not ready for it. Push-ups, Sit-ups, and the 2 mile run used to be the big 3, and I would focus on those. As for losing the weight, should you show up to boot overweight, they used to…
• Not from T-Town, but south of Birmingham. Welcome to Alabama, set your clock back 20 years.
• I wasn't a huge fan in the 80's, I was more of a glam rock/hair metal guy. As I've gotten older my musical tastes have broadened and I find myself going back to alot of the old "New Wave" stuff. Violator is far and away my fave DM album, with "Personal Jesus" and "The world in my eyes" being 2 of my favorite songs.
• WOW! BRUTAL! Dear me, You know you can get out of bed at 6am. There is no reason to lay there until 8am. Get up and get started. You're being lazy, and pathetic. Get over yourself, this is nobody else's fault but your own. Eating because you're bored is not the answer. If you ARE bored, go do something worthwhile. No…
• My wife bought a pack last year, poked a hole in them, and put them in a drawer. They are SOOOOO good, and chewy. MMmmmmmmm Stale peeps! *Drools*

• I can relate to the scales not weighing correctly. My scale at the house says 215, the one at the doc's.....231. My scale is headed to the garbage.
• I am on the road every day, and my company pays for my meals. That's alot of the reason for my weight gain. One thing I did was start researching restaurant nutritional values, and calories in the foods I like. I'm not much of a salad, or veggie guy, but I've found that when I eat Subway, rather than Cracker Barrel, I can…
• Thanks guys. I really appreciate the suggestions.
• I'm trying so hard to drop this weight, but the one thing I need to do, I can't get motivated about. Exercise. When I got out of the Army in 1993 I weighed in at a whopping 143 lbs. Now 15 years and 3 kids later I weighed in at 231lbs. I used to run just for the sake of running. I used to have the flat stomach. Now, I…
• I feel your pain. I am a food trainer for a FRIED CHICKEN company. It's 90% of the reason I've gained so much. I have been doing some research and found items at some fast food joints that aren't too terrible (bad enough but better than nothing.) I've been taking Quaker Chewy granola bars with me, and bags of Cheerios (one…
• I've found that when I eat my Almonds my fat counts go up. I think it really depends on what your eating.
• I guess that means we're not on the BFL challenge. I don't know what it means either. :)
• Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate the responses. I'm supposed to be on a 1500 cal diet, but it's hard finding foods that low in calories.

• My name is Dave and I'm starting out on a new diet course which recommends a food journal. I am currently 231lbs and 6' tall. I hope to get down to about 175, which is where I was about 5 years ago. I do however LOVE food, and I work in the fast food industry which makes it double hard for me.
