Wondering what your thoughts are on the program, just finishing up Lift 4 next week and was thinking of Body Beast. What do you think of it?

Wow thank you thank you.

Every movement burns calories. Personally I burn more calories walking 5 km than I do doing a 40 minute workout DVD.
-
I read stuff all the time about how reducing calories will cause you body to not burn calories - your body will go into 'starvation' mode, blah blah blah.

I have wondered the same thing. On the Success message board there is a person that lost 178 pounds in 13 months. How the heck does some9ne do that.
-
embarrassing???? you look friggin amazing.

Wow interesting question. I can see both sides, but to be honest I agree with what others are saying, if we start down that road where will it end. Often there is just as much 'research' stating there are no risks and there are risks if you are overweight; don't get 8 hours sleep; drink coffee; etc. So what would they base…

I do yoga, I burn very few calories doing yoga.

I too have done them. They are tough to stick to (for me anyway). I find it takes soooo long introducing items back into your diet. I did a bit of research and what I found was that food sensitivity tests are considered more accurate (no big surprise), but they can be expensive. Prices in Canada range up to $300+.

you look amazing

I guess at green vegetables as they tend to not have many calls. I don’t log spices either. I believe in logging but it can get tedious.

An almost 9 years old border collie, love her to bits. I walk everyday because of her, I just can stand disappointing her. Those eyes bore right into my soul.

I tell myself that time will continue to pass whether I lose weight or not, then I ask myself if I want to be where I am today a year from now. The answer is always NO. I have wasted too much of my life over weight.

I never eat all of my exercise calories back, IF is working better than I thought it would, but it does limit me to two meals a day with a small snack in between.

I live too far from a gym so my workouts are always at home. I have an elliptical and treadmill but walking burns more calories that either of those - I know right. I also have a collection of DVDs but I am thinking of joining beach body on demand to get a variety of workouts. I am the type of person that can't miss a day…

Would love details on how you did this? You look amazing. Great job.

I too was stuck, although not for 2.5 months like someone posted. It might have been a coincidence but I focused on my water consumption, like 8-10 cups per day and it got the weight coming off again. It’s almost as if when I don’t drink enough water my body hoards it and the scale doesn’t move. It’s something that I am…

wow nice results, you have the bum of a 20 year old :) I can't image the recovery was much fun but I understand why you did and it and you must be so pleased with the results.

Central Ontario here. Please add me.

Have you tried IF. Eating in a shortened window might help. Normally I get two meals in a day plus a small snack. This allows me to have larger meals. I feel your pain, even coffee, eggs and avocado for breakfast can reach almost 400 cal.

OMG please ship me some of those cupcakes.

I will sadly admit that I have fallen for snake oil salesmen in the past and bought the magic pill that will help me with weight loss. I don't like to think of myself as a stupid person, but boy can I jump on a bandwagon, even when I have doubts about the product. Ultimately the only thing that got lighter was my wallet.…

To tell you the truth I have started this 12 week program more than once and quit. I would not move on to the next phase until I finished the last one perfectly. This time I do my best and move on to the next phases based on the schedule. They get progressively harder so I like that, but she is addicted to lunges which are…

You look great, congrats

WOW you look amazing, such a great smile too :)

Stop talking so much sense :)

i am currently in the middle of her Body Resolution series, I have started before but not finished. Its a progressive series lastly 12 weeks. She does a lot of lunges which is hard on my old knees but I modify. So far I am enjoying it. I have a GF that loves Chalene and swears by her programs. Think I will try her next.
