  • I did Body Beast. I was about half way through the program when I was diagnosed with DVTs, so I had to take a break. I had great results up until that point. Right now I'm lifting again, but following a different program. I will return to Body Beast after I finish this program.
  • I've had this issue with migraines and with extremely high blood pressure, but not just out of the blue.
  • Do you have an update on a diagnosis? I hope all is well.
  • Could the increased heart rate be HYPERthyroid, or anxiety?
  • I've been on Plaquenil for about 7 years now, and I haven't had any changes with my eyesight due to the medication. I go in for my annual eye exam in a couple weeks, so hopefully it follows the trend from the previous years.
  • If you do decide to go off of plaquenil against your doctor's orders, just be sure your monitored while your off. I went off of it while I was pregnant and breastfeeding, and though my doctor was unsure of the effects, we decided together and I was closely monitored.
  • I have Systemic Lupus, Lupus Nephritis, Sjogrens, and Raynaud's.
  • I haven't been on Benlysta, but I was very excited when it was approved by the FDA. I just finished a treatment for my liver, so that hopefully my body would allow a more proactive approach with my lupus. When I see my rheumy again, I will be asking about Benlysta as an option, but for now I'm just on Plaquenil, Cellcept,…
  • I had a negative ANA for years, though I had several lupus symptoms. I didn't get a strong positive until after I had my first child.
  • Hello there... It does sound like your are experiencing a flare. When you flare, just try your best to take care of yourself and be gentle with your body. It's difficult to be dependent on help from others, but if the help is there, take it. Also, make sure you are staying WELL hydrated and getting plenty of sleep. As for…
  • OMG. Those legs!! You look amazing!
  • You look wonderful, AND happy! Keep it up!
  • It's genetics. Look at women like the tennis William's sisters. They are VERY curvy, yet VERY athletic. You just have to see what your end body shape ends up being, and learn to love it.
  • I do. I'm 5'5" and trying to get down to 130. That's just a number I have set in my head, but I can deal with a higher number if my body is looking awesome. :) Feel free to add me. ~Leah
  • Also not looking forward to the beast phase. We'll get through it, though. :) I've gotten accustomed to the calories I've been consuming, so dropping those might be tough. I rarely ever hit my daily allotted carbs, though.

  • My rheumy has me on DHEA for my energy levels. I've noticed a difference with that and a cleaner diet. I went on vacation and ate garbage AND forgot to pack my DHEA and my energy fell within a couple days. Made me amazingly happy to get home. ~Leah
  • I'm so sorry you are having so many issues lately. As far as the fatigue and pain, I usually take that time to take it easy. I still have to survive on coffee, because I have two littles that I have to keep an eye on during the day while my husband is at work. My husband will sometimes give me a hard time about my energy…
  • I'm an Air Force wife! Feel free to add me as a friend.
  • I just looked at your photos and there is a change. I can see it mostly in your belly area. Keep up the loss, girl, you're doing it!
  • I've been with MFP for awhile. You're welcome to add me. I sign in everyday to stay accountable and I do okay with my nutrition. I'm currently doing a hybrid program with Body Beast and Les Mills Combat.
  • I usually do cardio before and after. I do my first cardio in the morning, then weights late afternoon, and a very short cardio session before bed.
  • For me, yoga seems to do the job. Any kind of stretching that is going to open the hips and back should help. Otherwise, I'd suggest seeing your doc about physical therapy. Good luck!
  • I just started week 2 of Body Beast. Back/Bis today. I am loving it. I'm also doing Les Mills Combat at the same time. Add me as a friend if you'd like. Always nice to have support.
  • I've taken CLA, but not for my thyroid. I will say, though, that while taking it, I was able to decrease my Synthroid dosage, not to mention the fact that my belly fat took a huge hit, which is abnormal for me (since it has always been the last to go). I just recently started taking it again.
  • Avocados, apples with peanut butter or almond butter, plain almonds. Those seem to do the best for me. Almond milk and a scoop of protein powder keeps me full for almost too long.
  • I use my HRM. I'm only in the Build phase, but I usually burn about 300 calories. I usually just log it a bit under what my HRM says.
  • I started Body Beast earlier this week and would love some buddies/support.
  • Day 3 Eating: A- Water: B- . Did a bit better today. Kept a water bottle in my hand to remind myself. Everything is sore, or at least almost everything is sore. I know everything can't be, because I have another muscle group to work on tomorrow. I'm loving it, though, because I know I'm making a change for the better, and…
  • Day 2 Eating: B+ Water: C . This is something I really need to work on. I'm making a jug of lemon water tonight, so hopefully that will keep me knocking back the water tomorrow.
