  • TjMaxx, Marshalls, Ross. If you go anywhere else, I would suggest checking out the clearance racks.
  • Don't get discourage. I found that I lose weight in monthly increments - no joke. I can bust my butt every week, however I wont see the scale move until after 30 days. I'm not sure why that is. It doesn't matter if I'm trying to lose 15 pounds or 30 pounds. Give it 30 days, if you don't see any results after then, you may…
  • Welcome Naiomi, you're in the right place. You can do it!

  • i love lean cuisine, smart ones are okay, and I really dislike healthy choice. However, I usually go with whatever is on priced at the lowest sale price for the week.
  • wow, you look fabulous!
  • wow, you look fabulous!
  • looking good girl!
  • I usually eat a lean cuisine and a piece of fruit ....its quick, easy, and i know exactly how much I'm eating. Other than that, whatever I bring has to be something that I can prepare on the weekend and bring for the whole week...like turkey chili, or bake pieces of chicken with rice and vegetables distributed into…
  • I use JogTracker. I usually pick apps based on the star rating from the users in the apps market, sometimes I'll try each one (of the highest rating apps) until I decide which one I like best. Good luck :)
  • Personally when its time for me to upgrade i usually get the newest phone with the highest customer ratings (usually found on the carriers website) - which is also usually the most expensive. I think the Galaxy S, G2 and Mytouch are good phones. They are all android phones, which I have and absolutely love! ...also you can…
  • I read that if you want to stick to a "clean" diet you want to limit you grocery shopping to the perimeter of the grocery store: produce section, fresh meats, milk, eggs, yogurt. And only go down the other aisles for beans and whole grains (like brown rice and oatmeal). I try to eat as clean as possible, however sometimes…
  • I went to the gym this morning. I did 60 minutes of a circuit training class, 30 minutes of abs, and 30 minutes on the elliptical....and I feel great!
  • I could never get into the "dessert" yogurts either. I try to eat as natural as possible. One of my methods for eating yogurt is I buy a big container of plain nonfat yogurt. At night I would take about 1 cup of yogurt and put in into a small (1 cup) container and mix it with some frozen fruit (frozen sweet cherries is my…
  • Try dry cereal...i really like the chocolate chex kind...to me it makes a great low fat, sweet, and crunchy snack. Makes a good movie theater snack too.
  • Work out on the days you plan to go out. Stay away from the fruity drinks. This might sound gross but I use to mix EVERYthing with diet coke... or sometimes I would drink gin & tonic. On the days that you plan to go out, eat really light during the day with a meal an hour before I go out, that way you wouldn't have…
  • Lol. I recently joined a new gym -I felt that way too when I first joined. Try asking if one of the staffs can show you how to work the equipment - most gyms have staff members that are willing to help. Or try going around the time when there aren't many people there, that way you can familiarize yourself with the…
  • Controlling your thoughts....I like it. Thanks for sharing that.
  • Wow that's wonderful. You look great...keep up the good work!
  • I wouldn't be surprised if we do. I've lived in Michigan for over 20 years so I'm use to it. If I have to be somewhere I just plan to leave earlier than usual to give myself enough time to get to my destination safely. I drive as slow as possible and I don't let the speedy drivers intimidate me...if they want to end up in…
  • You should try cream of rice, it taste similar to cream of wheat and is free of cholesterol, gluten and fat it also has calcium, iron, protein. Or oat bran might be another alternative to cream of wheat also. I personally can't take too much wheat.
  • I agree with everyone here. I had to manual set my protein goal on MFP to a higher amount. I just started working out heavily again and my goal is to be as lean as possible by April 2011 so I changed my goal to a 40/40/20 diet. Which is 40% carbs, 40% protein, and 20% fat; MFP has it set to 55/15/30 by default. You can…
  • B: Crispix with 1% mix with soy protein powder and a banana; hot chai tea L: String cheese wrapped with 2 slices of 97% fat free turkey breast; apple; Rice Works - Gourmet Brown Rice Crisps D: Lean Cuisine frozen dinner S: Ant on a log or Smoothie with protein powder and fish oil; hot herbal tea
  • Chex is gluten free. I like the chocolate kind...yummm.
  • I will definitely try this....thanks for sharing!
  • Don't let it get to you. I record/update my weight monthly increments....if i weighed myself every day/week, I'd go crazy. The scale can change on a daily basis, based on what you eat, how much you sweat from working out, or that time of the month,...etc.

  • Welcome! This is a great place to start. MFP has a great support system because we all need each other. Good luck :)
  • I've been using GNC Pro Performance Soy Protein 95 Vanilla for about 3 years now, I absolutely love it..and its already sweetened with an artificial sweetener. I add it to my oatmeal/cereal and smoothies. For oatmeal/cereal, I premix it with milk first so its not lumpy, then add to my cereal/oatmeal. I have a smoothie…
  • I would say "faster" first, if you go faster for same amount of time you will have more miles under your belt. Or you can do both by implement an interval walking routine...For example you can try walking (or jogging) as fast as you can for 10 min, then 10 minutes at a slower pace...repeat until end of workout. This way…
  • Welcome....Glad you're here. Good luck to ya!
