I havent done it consistently I just do it every so often when I need it. For example... go to a party on the weekend, more calories than I need are consumed, 24 hour fast and I feel fine. Doesn't even feel like a fast to me because my calories for the week are simply balancing out. I really would like to be able to do it…

The twice a day thing really works for me as well. A lot a people have strongly negative feelings about this, I'm glad I have a friend out there :-)

Listen to your body. Personally I wouldn't eat more because I still had calories left. I find it quite handy to look at the calorie thing as a weekly thing. Sometimes you have a party on the weekend, you eat a bit more than you needed to, and so the next day or even over the next week I find my eaten pattern has changed…

Well put. Never knew how to put it in words for girls who are afraid of becoming muscle women

I don't think this post is about whether you should wear makeup to the gym, cos that's a bit silly (imo) and it will just come off anyway because you're sweating. Post is more for people who go to the gym after work or after having put on their make up for the day. I do not take off my makeup if i happen to be wearing…

Ok, I'm sorry but I did not read all of that. Now that I am fitter I have to work a lot harder to burn calories (I use a garmin 405cx hrm). But I do have the ability to work a lot harder. If I just go for a run around my block (20 minutes) I would burn about 70 cals whereas before it would be at least a couple of hundred.…

I'm sure I'll want to whinge on thurs/fri but i love aussie summer

I went through the same thing when I got my hrm........ So often calories burnt were overestimated by mfp (I felt anyway). I'm not sure how body bug works exactly, but my hrm burns calories using heart rate, that is meant to be the most accurate way of determining calories burnt......

Slightly similar thing. When I was younger I was quite heavy and I got a comment from my doctor at the time about my weight. It really sticks with you. It was quite rude.

This is kinda my problem........ which is why if I wanna go for a road run I usually go after the sun goes down and it's quite dark except for the street lights... today, however, I went for a run in the afternoon, sun shining, really hot........ Well I spose this is a NSV. Also, I would really love to be one of those…

I only just got my HRM so I've just been playing around and sussing it all out.... but..... RHR- 85 Max heart rate (eg. during sprints etc)- 188 I mainly got the hrm to be able to monitor how I'm going on road runs and stuff as well as calories...... I really need to figure out what the hr numbers mean for my health /…

Im getting a Garmin 410 for Xmas. I did my research for it and it's great value for money in comparison to the Polar, imo.

I'm not super huge but I wear an old bra, a good sports bra and a crop top (bought a size too small to keep everything compacted)

People ALWAYS do this when they notice you're eating healthier. So stupid.

Interested! So funny I have this on my christmas list this year :-)

Agreed!!!!!! It kills me BUT I've loved the challenge of finding the really cheap ones. In Sydney I've found a 27km bridge walk for $10 and there's a couple of others for around that price. I'm gonna save my $$$ for cool ones like mud runs and sand dune runs
