I'm 5'9 and consider myself thin at 135-140. I feel comfortable and healthy between 145-150. It really depends on your specific body type.

I drink my coffee black but occasionally I order a cappuccino with skim milk and add cinnamon - no sugar or syrup.

For long distances I love Drymax maximum protection socks. A little pricey but definitely worth it, no blisters after a 1/2 marathon.

I agree about runner's world if you don't have a specialty running store. http://www.runnersworld.com/shoeadvisor A few times a year they have a great visual guide in the magazine. I have run in Brook's Adrenaline GTS for a few years.

SLOW weight loss...it used to come off so easily and now I have to work twice as hard for the scale and inches to move. Weird aches and pains. I am now one of those people who has to hold the paper away while reading.....sigh.

Quick stew: saute kale in a little olive oil then add 2 cans of low na diced tomatoes or fresh diced tomatoes, some garlic, red pepper flakes, and a can of drained and rinsed cannellini beans.

I wear my go belt or on long runs my Amphipod hand held water bottle has a zip pocket for my key fob, etc.

I am going to try to watch my portion control and be conscious of my food choices and will definitely get a good workout in Sunday morning. I'm sure I will go over my calories a bit but will still log everything.

Awesome! It's such a great feeling to cross that finish line for the first time! Good Luck!

Once or twice a month. The number on the scale isn't as important to me as the way my clothes fit and how I feel. When I weighed in weekly I would beat myself up if my weight didn't go down and sometimes I would use it as an excuse to get off track.

Fantastic! Congrats :)

Congrats! You look great.

203.8, the heaviest I have ever been and at 5'9 it puts me in the obese category. Last weekend I saw some pictures that were taken over the holidays and was in awe at how heavy I looked. I don't know why I was so shocked but it was a definite wake up call. I lost 40 lbs 2 years ago and felt fantastic but gained it all back…
