1. If you aren't starving, I would see how much you lose over a few more weeks. The first week or two will have some water weight loss. 2. There is no exact amount. How could there really be ? Different people have different amounts of activity. Different levels of activity take different amounts of energy.

There is virtually NO fat in your diet. That is extremely unhealthy. And while protein shakes are a good helper when you can't get all of your protein in, I don't think they'll do much to satisfy your hunger on such a low calorie diet.

The "rest" is for fuel and calories. The body will only metabolize so much of it's own fat for fuel.

I know that, I wasn't suggesting it as a protein source. It is tasty as a "breading" or volumizer in some recipes though. And still tastes great. Or a "I'm craving something crunchy to dip in my guacamole" type deal.

I would advise AGAINST getting advice from someone at GNC or Vitamin Shop. Their number one goal is to sell you stuff, while spewing all of the convincing pseudo-rumor-tabloid "nutrition" advice. It doesn't actually have more (or less) calories when cooked, it just has less weight. weigh meats before cooking, as cooking method/duration will change the weight.

Remember that a great benefit to (and reason for) lifting while losing weight is the preservation of muscle you already have.

You don't need to drink lots of water because it flushes toxins out (what, lack of toxins will make you sick ? wtf ?). You need to drink lots of water because as you said, they dehydrate you.

I personally use the one at work (and don't in fact own a home one) because it is a very large industrial scale that is regularly calibrated and (to me) would seem to be likely to be more consistent. Even though I have one clothes and steel toed boots and such.

I'm sure someone will come along with a link to the more popular calculators. The thing you should realize is that they are all just estimates, and you will likely have to tweak the amount of cals up or down.
