You can eat anything you want, as long as it fits the calorie goal MFP has given you. There's no need to follow a specific diet if all you're looking for is weight loss. I live in a tight budget as well so I know the difficulties. Depending on where you live, you're likely to save a bunch of money by making your own food.…

You look amazing! Thanks for the reminder to just trust.

To get to 75lbs lost - I'm 10 lbs away and I can feel it in my bones!

Are you eating back any of your exercise calories? If not, you might want to eat about half back.

Cheese, beans, seeds, spinach/kale, eggs....these are my go-tos.

No, I didn't. Thanks for the info!

Always leftovers from dinner. I can't be asked to make (and think of) more meals so I just make full recipes of what I'm having for dinner. I usually cook 2 or 3 things at once so that I can have one thing for dinner and something else for lunch. Otherwise I get bored with my food.

Aloo gobi, daal, kebab, tandoori, tikka. You could tell the server that you want to avoid creamy or very oily sauces and fried items. Indian food is generally quite healthy when you avoid those things.

I have the same frustration! Sometimes it takes me longer to add and manipulate and edit the recipe than it does to cook it. It's such a time warp.

I think it sounds great! Maybe add some vanilla - that will enhance the flavours more, especially since cauliflower is so bland. I've baked with pumpkin before and it's always come out super moist. Would love to know how it turns out!

I believe the FDA regulations state than anything less than 10 calories is allowed to be labeled as 0. 10 cals is negligible but for people who drink this by the gallon, it can add up to 100 or 200 cals a day!

I can't do snacks at all, just 3 proper meals and maybe an extra tea or coffee between. If I have snacks I go WAY over my calories and now that I've stopped doing it, I realize I was unconsciously snacking. I'm not actually hungry so why am I eating??

What a fantastic transformation. You've obviously learned concrete lessons that have shifted your mindset ensuring your changes will be permanent. Thank you for sharing!

A shirt I used to wear to work is now long enough to be a dress. It used to come to just under my waist. Feels great!

You look amazing! Congrats on such a phenomenal loss!!! Did you use a particular lifting program when you started or was it just what the trainer told you to do?

You look fantastic!

I only prelog for the next day bc I eat what I'm in the mood for. I meal plan on the weekend for the whole week so that I have several options ready and portioned out in the fridge. Then before I go to bed I log what I will eat the next day and I try to leave some wiggle room. The next week I make different meals so that I…

By all means, have some chocolate! We have taste buds geared towards different flavors- sweet, salty, bitter, etc. so we need to satisfy all of them. I can't live without chocolate, so I just control the amount. When I crave something I see if I can fit it (or a portion) into my day. If not then I promise myself to leave…

You look beautiful! I've had the same comments about how much better my coloring looks and how my skin looks better. My eczema is reaping the benefits and I don't need to use as much moisturizing cream. I didn't realize (until you commented about it) that I don't get up in the middle of the night to pee anymore. But I…

Yup! That's the only way I can be disciplined with my food. Otherwise when I come home and I'm hungry, I'll make very wrong decisions. I try to grocery shop and cook on either Saturday or Sunday. I like to get it all done in one day so that it's out of the way. During the week if when I think about what I might fancy…

"Weighing food is a sign of an eating disorder" (NOT weighing gave me a disorder called obesity!) "It's great you're losing weight...but you still have a long way to go" (when did I ask for your opinion??) "Nothing wrong with eating nice food once in while" (I eat very nice food, thank you!)

Wow, huge difference in your face! Keep up the awesome work.

1) Never denying myself the things I enjoy eating. The difference is that now I don't tell myself I "deserve" it, but rather I have to "earn" it. 2) Logging every thing that goes in my mouth, regardless of how much shame I have when I look at it in black and white. I also make sure to look over my past couple days of…

1) my weight is now less than what my drivers license says 2) the shirt I wear at night is now so big that it slides off my shoulders and the bottom of the "v" neck goes to the middle of my abdomen 3) a ring that used to be too tight to wear is now sliding off my finger

What an amazing difference! Great job =)

I've got hypothyroidism and I was diagnosed in my mid-twenties. I had all of the same symptoms - sleeping to excess and really struggling to get up even after 12 hours of sleep, massive weight gain, sluggishness, major brain fog, etc. The thyroid regulates all your hormones so it can mess with many, many functions in your…

Thanks for your replies! @kathrynjean_ I totally didn’t think about the iron deficiency - I am severely anemic but have never experienced bruising before (without having bumped into something). @Aed0416 – I was walking on the paved pathway, but I know what you mean about walking on sand. It takes much more effort to go the…
