Thank you for sharing. I agree with so much you said. You look awesome, congratulations!

Exactly my thought. It's been a rare occasion that I have worn it and when I did, it was nothing more than a bit of powder and a little mascara. At my age now, 56, I think it's a little late for me to start. I really have no clue how to apply it correctly anyway. haha I admit though, I do sometimes wonder if I would like…

Seeing my friend, Alex, reply to this thread, inspired me to find out how many inches I had lost. So, I got out my old records and my tape measure. Since February 24, 2012, when I started this journey, I have lost 105 pounds, gone from a size 22 to a size 4 and lost a total of 41 inches from my chest, waist and hips. The…

Dream as if you’ll live forever! Live as if you’ll die tomorrow! You can do anything that you think you can. You can't do anything that you think you can't.

Hi y'all! 5' 7" and 56 years young here. Life is definitely worth living again and I pack every ounce of living I can fit into each new day. Never give up. If you think you can, you can. If you think you can't, you can't! I have since lost a bit more since the pictures wearing the black. I had lost about 98 then, I have…

All that ad says to me is "Eat your bananas before they turn black!" Oh, I don't pay any attention to them.

A lot of my goals were similar to yours. On my list are/were... Stef's Top Ten Reasons for Losing Weight 10. To look in a mirror without being sad. I look and smile again! 9. Tying my shoes without being winded. It's nice to not ask hubby or son to help me. 8. Give myself a pedicure...comfortably. Do it weekly now! 7.…

Once a week. I totally agree that you shouldn't judge progress on the number you see on the scale. That can be affected by so much. Count how you feel, how your clothes feel. The numbers on a tape measure over-ride the numbers you see on a scale, for me.

I have a huge salad for dinner, about 5 nights a week. I add a grilled chicken breast, chopped onions and a little Mrs. Dash. I have not used "salad dressing" for many years. I prefer salsa. Some of my favorites are Arriba Fired Roasted Chipotle Salsa and plain old Great Value Peach Pineapple Chipotle Salsa. For a real…

I have found it rather easy to lose the weight and I'm 56. I think I might not be the norm though. I am extremely focused and dedicated, almost to the point of obsession! haha I agree with the responder that I quoted, I do not deal with all that other stuff. As for older people perhaps using age as an excuse, I think many…

I met him online, playing Everquest. It was when LDoN first came out and we grouped together for some dungeons. I thought he was a female for the first 6 months that we played together. I never asked, he played a female toon. He lived in Manhattan, I lived in Podunk Arkansas. We finally discovered that we were opposite sex…

I started smoking at age 11. I smoked for 39 years! I thought about and attempted to quit many times over the years. I gained my weight just before I actually stopped smoking. I had been feeling less than well for a long time. It got to where I could barely breathe or move anymore. That is when I started gaining. Finally,…

I'd have to say True. Now that I am no longer sad all the time. Smiling comes much easier now! TNP works with a Personal Trainer!

Not sure about apps, but if you have an iPod, you can load it with music that beats at a certain speed. For instance, my iPod is loaded with songs that are 130 beats per minute, which translates to 3.5 miles per hour. You can look for songs at a speed you like at.. http://jog.fm/ You can search according to genre for…

I last posted on this thread last November. At that point, I had lost around 80 pounds. I have lost a bit more since then, hike all the time, work with a trainer, lift and feel alive again! I'll be 56 in a few weeks and I'm 5' 7.5" tall. When I started in February of 2012, I could barely walk, my health had gotten so bad.…

I am 55 years old and I am 5' 7.5" tall. Pictures on the left are the first day of my new life, February 24, 2012. Pictures on the right are 13 months later, March 24, 2013, 96.4 pounds lighter. I had actually lost over 2 inches in height, from arthritis in my back and the extra weight. As you can see, I stand tall again…
