While digging through my computer pictures, I found my horrible side view from last February. I decided it was time for a new side view. So, I had my son take the new picture at 1:00AM, this morning. haha

I support this statement! But seriously, I am cold all the time and have lost 95 pounds. Maybe it's the insulation thing my husband talks about.

Thank you! Alex, you look pretty awesome yourself!

I'll soon be 56. This is my progress so far. I am very close to my goal. I won't say it was the easiest thing I have ever done. But, it was so much easier than I thought it would be. And, it was easier than staying in pain and living like a hermit. Life has improved 100%! Believe in yourself. You can do anything that you…

Mine is from yesterday.

Still almost 20 pounds to go, to reach my goal. But, I no longer doubt that I can do it! ETA: Fixed typo.

I'm 55 and quit smoking 5 years ago, after smoking since I was 11 years old! I am much more active now that I can breathe!
-
Thank you all so much. Anyone can do it if they believe in themselves! I have no doubt.

Stoner and Class Clown!

Mischief? Moi? Maybe! It's much easier to get into it, now that I can move again! Thanks for noticing! hahaha

Thank you all so much! I seriously wouldn't have been as successful without MFP and the friends I have made here. I have found so much inspiration and strength from reading stories of triumph here. The encouragement and support has been priceless. My friends inspire me every day. I am thankful for y'all!

Thank you all. I feel so much better!

With 2 days until my one year anniversary of starting this, I have lost... A newborn calf and a rack of baby back ribs!

Mine was at 38.8 last year and is now at 24.4. But, that is not the reason for my reply. I went to check out your profile and the words "Want My Life Back" and "I need to escape from this prison." really hit home with me! My profile does not speak of it (my blog does), but I kept myself in a self imposed "prison", spanning…

Same here! The only things that bother me at the gym are... 1. Those who go from machine to machine and never stop to wipe one down. I wipe them before and after I use them now. It just takes a few seconds. 2. The machine I want is taken up with someone who just sits and plays on their cell phone. I don't want to be rude…

I started on 02/24/12 at 247 pounds, with a BMI of 38.8. I was unable to stand up straight or walk the entire length of my house. It wasn't just the weight I had gained, I also have/had arthritis in my lower back, as well as asthma. I started out doing light exercise at home, along with eating properly. I couldn't even…

Picture on the left was last February, size 22. Picture on the right was this past Monday at size 8.

I agree, take pictures. I only took a very few shots with my phone on my first day. I so wish I had taken time to take better before pictures!

It creeps up on many of us, for many reasons. I was thin, healthy and athletic until I was in my late 40's. At that time, Arthritis and Asthma were making it more and more difficult for me to move around. Within a very short time, 2-3 years, I had put on over 100 pounds, not changing anything except not able to walk like…

I started on 02/24/12 at 247 unhappy pounds, the left picture. The right picture was taken 10 minutes ago, at 155 pounds. I still have 20 pounds to go. I am 5' 7" tall and will be 56 in a couple months. Before I started, I was unable to stand up straight or walk more than a few feet, due to severe pain in my back, before I…

I cannot leave an indent. Hmmm Maybe it is because I am gaining muscle faster on one side than the other. I work them the same at the gym. I thought. My husband does not notice a difference. I definitely see it though.

OMG! I am an anomaly! I knew it. hahaha
-
For me, one of the worst parts of the weight gain WAS gaining boobs! I hated them, I had always been thin and flat. They were uncomfortable and got in the way. haha I am happy to report those evil things are gone again!

You can be hot at any age, I think. I'm 55 and I hope to be hot by the time I'm 60! =D

Yep, me too! A gimmick is a gimmick. I prefer to do this a more healthy...and less poopy way! :blushing:
