Strangely enough, I enjoy a good big band swing, maybe some Frank Sinatra...or orchestral/classical instrument soundtracks. For weight lifting anyway. For cardio, some high-tempo electronic music does the trick.

I have no self control, so it's either 100% clean eating or 100% binging. Pizza will trigger this, as in the past I would routinely eat 6 slices at a time.

Shouldn't be frustrated, because you should be doing this for yourself. If you congratulate yourself on your weight loss and believe you look and feel better, then that's the only opinion you need concern yourself with. If you're doing it to turn other peoples heads, you probably have the wrong motivations.

I love feeling sore, and you should too. When you introduce a new exercise or muscle group that you haven't worked out intensely before, you're going to be sore all week long -- at first. You'll miss the soreness when you don't get it anymore. That said, I let each of my muscle groups recover for 7 days before hitting them…

Looking at your food diary assuming you log all your food, you're eating pretty much nothing. 600 calories, really? I really hope that's not the case.
-
Nope, don't count it. Your daily activity level is set in your profile, which calculates the amount of calories you burn on an average day. If you are on your feet every day at work, that is calculated already. Don't count it unless it feels like exercise, good rule of thumb.

It obviously depends on your sex, age, height, and current weight...My BMR is around 1650, but I'm a 144 lb. 5'8" Male. A male that is 6'2" and 230 has quite a higher calorie requirement.

Well I go to my basement, of course! Super private exclusive gym, open 24 hours a day to only me. Pretty sweet, I know.
-
get into a push-up position, try and hold it for 60 seconds. That's a plank.

You get the energy from food. If you don't have energy, I know this sounds crazy but -- you gotta eat more of it If you're cutting calories before exercise, you can't expect to have energy while doing exercise or after exercise. Therefore, if you exercise you need to put some food in your body to fuel that workout, before…

After workout I DESTROY a meal, though that's usually 1 meal into the day so relatively early. Protein is an absolute necessity after working out, going to bed or not. For me, I get like 4 pieces of whole wheat toast, some veggies, and a protein shake.

Dietary fat supports cognitive function, hair and skin...so I'd say that fat is one of the more important macro-nutrients. I would not cut fat out completely, or below 20% for that matter.

I see what you mean, I'm more speaking of upper body only. I suppose if I over-compensated by bulking up my obliques, it would fill in the gap between my pelvic bone and ribcage, so the V-taper would look better.
-
All dudes want that Y or V shape I suppose, but my ribcage and pelvic bone stick out pretty far, so I'm just cursed with more of an X shape.

Cheat meal, once a week it's fine. Cheat day? Sabotage's a whole week of effort. Trust me, it's either on or off in my experience. Last time I tried to have a cheat day, I ate like 4500 calories and ruined my week. I'd recommend planning out your cheat meal once a week, so you look forward to it and maybe do a bit extra…

Benefits? Feels nice, that's like asking the benefits of sitting in a hottub.

Well, diet soda isn't very "good" for you, but you're not going to hinder your fat loss goals by drinking it. Sodium makes you retain more water weight, but that shouldn't be a problem if you drink a lot of water, it'll all flush out of your system anyway. I see no reason why you can't drink a lot of water and still drink…

Since I exercise pretty much every day, My maintenance calories are around 2300 or so, I weigh 145 lbs. Can't wait to eat that many calories!
-
Well, you can definitely benefit from slow-digesting low-glycemic carbohydrates, as they won't spike your blood sugar and insulin level, and you'll be less likely to retain those carbohydrates in the form of bodyfat. A calorie is not a calorie, not in my eyes anyway. If you're limiting your calories every day, you have to…

I exercise every day of the week personally. Obviously strength training, your muscles need recovery. But cardio is an every day thing, you shouldn't need more than a 24 hour period to recover from doing cardio, since your body is designed to move about like that every day. If you're just starting out, then sure your…

My main cardio is a brisk walk on an empty stomach in the morning, so I definitely consider walking cardio. You don't have to sweat profusely to burn a couple hundred calories. Since outside of my exercise, I literally sit down in front of a computer ALL DAY, I will continue to do my walk in the morning and count that as…

Carbs and protein, your body is eager for anything as it is in a vacuum state, and will absorb nutrients from both rather quickly. Bodybuilders use this time to eat simple carbs (to spike their blood sugar/insulin, since working out drops your blood sugar). The high-glycemic sugar-y carbs help to absorb the nutrients of…

Cardio isn't gonna make your legs bigger, even if you're in a calorie surplus. Trust me on this, don't worry about it. They might look more defined because you're dropping fat, but definitely not bigger.
-
You need protein at every meal, it's not a meal IMO unless it has carbs/protein/fat. Carbs are more important in the first half of the day however, and protein is more important in the latter half, unless your hectic schedule doesn't begin until the evening.
-
Since half of my meals are blended or powder, I really don't think chewing applies so much to me! lol

I eat peanut butter on a whole wheat bagel every day of my life for breakfast. It's not really healthy, is full of fat and all of that...but it's a hit I take gladly. I usually cut the serving size in half (1 tbsp instead of 2, who needs 2 anyway), and I use Skippy creamy Peanutbutter. I don't mess with Natural or Organic…

Exercise through it. It'll really drain you out and make you feel good. I know I don't let sickness stop me from working out.
-
I've never really lost focus, I guess it depends on the person. It's important to look at this as a responsibility to yourself, and you have to do it no matter what your mind says.

The doritos dust one was by far the funniest. "Grandpa?!"
