What the **** sort of physio did you see? The current wisdom that's floating around is that women should lift as heavy as is comfortable for them because it gives you serious benefits in terms of improved bone density!

It's one of those things that some people say one thing, and others say another. Rosemary Stanton always said it's bad and I trust her, so I'm with you. ;p
-
Thanks guys! And Nat, I had to look her up... and thank you! She's really cute. ^__^ I'm very flattered!
-
I don't doubt it, but whoever came up with it is daft. Bikes and dogs really seriously don't mix. It should be either an off-leash zone, or a shared pedestrian-cycle zone, not both. >.<
-
Oh my gosh! Well done! That is fantastic. XD

The only thing that'll do it safely and healthily is control undergarments. Sorry, but them's the breaks.

It's not either-or, it's just a change to more moderation. To keep weight off and be healthy, you have to change your lifestyle for good, and no-one can be totally "healthy" in their eating habits and sane at the same time! It's also not a question of looking good, it's about health, longevity, and quality of life. Looking…

Just be careful... to be totally honest, the reason I'm pushing the idea of getting professional suport so much is because I had a friend who got to the point you're at, then relapsed hard, without even realising, and landed in the back of an ambulance having a heart attack from exercising too hard with too little energy.…

Excellent! Good luck. ^__^

You wouldn't be "wasting her time"; the best time to see a counsellor is once you've made up your mind, because they become a key part of your support team. I still think a dietician would be a good approach right now, but the counsellor could be just as good. Consellors and therapists are there to help you get things…

Gamey red meats are fantastic, and try taking some vitamin B12 every couple of days. Pate is also fantastic if you can handle it.... it's not quite the same as just eating liver like steak.... Iron pills are such bull****; they give most people digestive problems.
-
I know, I know, but this is one of those things that's just too important to feel guilty over. It's also not your fault you've gotten unwell and need some extra help. It doesn't have to be a psychologist, at this point a dietician with some background in anorexia recovery might be even more helpful. Are you in a position…
-
It's absolutely possible. I would ask, though, how do you handle other sugary foods? Having a digestive system that protests to sugary things in general is also not that uncommon....

Do your research, and also make the change in consultation with your doctor. I highly recommend getting bloodwork done before and after the change, to set a baseline, and to monitor what is going better and worse for you after you've been veg*n for a little while. Like all "extreme" diets, be it vegan, paleo, raw, high…

This is your long-term health we're talking about here; it's not a waste of anyone's money. Heck, if I had the money for it myself, I'd offer to pay for you, deadset! It's very important that you have proper educated ongoing post-anorexia care, as even now there is a psychological side to your journey as well as the…

Meh, what we're doing here shouldn't be "going on a diet", it should be the start of a complete lifestyle change, and you can't go through life without occasionally eating a whole carton of icecream, metaphorically or otherwise. If you're not doing it every damn week, it's not a problem.
-
Depends on whether you want to improve your health or not.

Salted watermelon.

Never let your plate go empty until the very end of the meal; just take a little bit and eat slo-o-owly.
-
Guuuuuys, a lot of you are seeming to be missing the difference between anorexic and pro-anorexic. Pro-ana people consider anorexia to be a positive, superior lifestyle choice. They do not accept that it's a problem.
-
Banning anorexic people is unreasonable. Banning pro-ana people may be sensible, however. They glorify the eating disorder and consider it a valid, positive lifestyle choice.
-
Oh, yeah, and I'm no exception. I was taught "static only, bouncing is bad". Since I switched to mostly dynamic, my flexibilty has improved out of sight.
-
*Shrugs* Some people seem to thrive on it, some people get sick. Like most "extreme" diets, it works for some people and is extremely harmful for others, depending on quirks of different people's bodies.

I have mad front balance bruises at the moment... >.< I am so bad at it. For everything else, though, I seem to bruise the first couple of times I try something, and then stuff toughens up or something and I'm fine.

The only sports bras that come in my size are $100+ (I'm a FF.... >.< ) so I've always just worn a bra with relatively rigid foam cups, and it's been good enough for me...... My sport of choice is circus aerials, so I spend plenty of time upside down, bounding, climbing, dropping, etc and even for that it's well and truly…

BOTH. Definitely both. Warm up with 10-20 min of cardio, head over and do your strength, and then cool off with some more cardio. Muscle is the machine that burns the fat, so you want to make it work!

Tin of lentils. Grated carrot. Onion. Garlic. Soy sauce. Sugar. Vinegar. Some sort of shreded green vegetable, usually wombok and celery. Cook pasta. Voila, Lentilghetti Dahlonaise. I can't have tomato and mushroom because of food intolerances, but I'd strongly reccommend adding a tin of tomatoes or some passatta or…

You go to a podiatrist and get an insert made for that shoe. You also consider seeing a physiotherapist to check if you have any scoliosis -- that is, sideways curvature of the spine. If the physio diagnoses scoliosis, then you might like to see a chiropractor, but not before that -- they aren't actually trained to…

Go on then, you can afford it just today. You have to have some junk occasionally; it's good for your emotional health. ;p

Up a bit on protein's fine, and you'll learn pretty fast where the fat's coming from and how to avoid it.
