So today is Day 1 for me. I currently have 293 cal and 115 carbs left. But i'm -11 (fat) and -19 (protein) over. Is it extremely important to ensure I hit my goals dead on?

    Its never going to be exact but you want to try and choose foods that work with your calories and you macros. You can also customize your macros. Not everyone on 1200 calories is set the same. I monitor carbs,fat, protein, sugar ad sodium. I set carbs at 40%, fat and protien at30% each. Sugar is set at 25 and sodium at 2500. Start working with calories and with an eye on the rest.     I think that MFP sets protein pretty low and carbs pretty high, so I think you've done well today!

    Up a bit on protein's fine, and you'll learn pretty fast where the fat's coming from and how to avoid it.
