Going along with that... people who walk over to the circuit area just to use the equipment and get in the way of the people who are actually doing the circuit so they have to skip the machine and remember to go back to it.

Basically you put in your height, weight, activity level, and weight loss (or gain) goal and My Fitness Pal gives you a suggested amount of calories to eat each day. Track EVERYTHING you eat or drink, and track your workouts. Get as close to the calorie goal as possible every day. That's what I've been doing anyway, and…

I haven't read this book, but I've heard good things about it and it is on my "To Read" list. You could see if you can check it out from your local library before spending money on a copy. The Thin Woman's Brain: Rewiring the Brain for Permanent Weight Loss by Dilia Surie

Hello!

I got up to 230 pounds working a desk job. I still work a desk job, but now I've lost 60 pounds. I definitely agree that CICO has a huge part to play in it. Course my Fitbit has logged 924 mile since I bought it in February so I'm sure that's helped too.

Subway (yup, the food chain), First Credit Union, take-n-bake pizza, deli counter, bakery, meat counter, cheese, yogurt, juice, soda, bulk items, and paper supplies (toilet paper, paper towels etc). So on the perimeter of my store I can get fast food, make my car payment, and get lots of protein.

I've lost more weight calorie counting than I did when I tried Shakeology. IMHO Shakeology alone is nasty. I had to either drink it super fast so I wouldn't taste it as much or add a bunch of ingredients to make it enjoyable- which doubles or triples the calories in it. I'd prefer a cheap protein power and multivitamin.…

I'd highly recommend it. I did a Tough Mudder last year and it was AWESOME!

Log it like this

I'm a big fan of the Forza Pro chocolate protein powder- it's pretty tasty too in my opinion Calories: 150 Total Carbs: 2G Carbs from sugars: 1g Protein: 30 G

Went to see Korn and Rob Zombie a couple weeks ago. That count?

Thanks twice! Once for the ice cream suggestion, and for explaining the *kitten*. I thought was interesting that everyone happened to pick the *kitten* to replace "bad" words. Apparently that's done automatically by MFP.

Utah- Walmart and Macys. I said I was going to shop at Natural Grocers so much when they first opened... that hasn't happened. Too pricey.

I agree that eating your exercise calories back defeats the purpose, but I will sometimes eat a small portion of them back. That's just a personal choice though. I've seen people vehemently argue both ways.

While we're on the subject have you heard about that dihydrogen monoxide? It can corrode metal, kills you if it's inhaled, causes tissue damage and burns to skin and many other terrible things. It's used in animal research, nuclear plants, chemical warfare... you see where I'm going with this? And it's in baby food! And…

I'm from Utah (USA), but I've had haggis! And it was actually pretty good

That's a great feeling! Congrats

We didn't order soda either, and luckily that also set me up to prefer water over juice or soda. So when I did decide that I didn't want to drink calories it was not problem at all for me to cut out the few times that I did drink soda. My mom never had the "finish everything on your plate" rule, but I think the mentality I…

Amazing job! That must feel so great!

I've worn a heart rate monitor while doing a hour long spinning class and it's said I burned over 600 calories. I'd say that's a pretty good workout.
-
I'd say so. It's been a while since I've done wiifit but I remember getting a decent workout from it. Especially when doing the long distance running programs. Or the programs (like the hulahoop) that require a lot of movement. And it's fun!

I do that with pizza. If I'm going to eat something as high calorie as pizza it is NOT going to be Little Caesars or Dominoes. It's going to be something great like Firehouse Pizza. BTW that did almost backfire when the free pizza offered at Planet Fitness was Firehouse. Barely escaped that temptation!

I'm on daily. Feel free to add me :)

I have an open diary as long as it's a judgement free viewing  Sometimes I don't eat very well...

Definitely a good idea to build habits now. I take my gym clothes to work with me. I know that if I go home I'll have a super hard time leaving again. So I go straight to the gym so that's not even an option. Edit: I also have work out disks I use. I really enjoy Body Combat. You just need to find a program that you enjoy…
