The basis is the best and the only one that reads heart rate and works for cyclists. Spring for the nicer watchband for added security. The others don't keep a constant heart rate so they are mostly just pedometers with a couple of perks like automatic logging. At least the withings can read heart rate but some activities…

The LA Fitness near me was co-ran by two owners; a very competent boxer and a creepy alcoholic douche. I left. However the problem was with THAT guy, not the chain or business model itself.

I found I just maintained during carb cycling after the first pleasing losses. I am just one person though and one that has been gaining and losing the same 10lbs for the past year now at that. That said, the science seems sound to me so maybe it's worked for someone else long term?

I have been macro cycling the past few months: 3 days low carb/2 days slow carb/one day high carb/one day off All with precise logging. I measure everything. Over the past year I have stopped losing weight and watched my fat percentage creep up...eating my muscle mass. Every so often I read something new and give that a…

What about those of us that are very active? I enjoy boxing and wrestling as well as walking, running, cycling, weight lifting. Because I don't drive cutting down on my activities is not a option. I also do home care, my client weighs 213lbs I bath her, turn her in the bed and push her in her wheelchair as well as stretch…

At some point if I stop logging I will still use my eatthismuch.com account. I put in my marcos/calories and block and foods I don't like and it creates a meal plan for me. If I am sticking to that, with my one rest day a week I am good. But I don't think I will choose to stop everything. I exercise quite a bit too.…

My goal is to see my fat percentage drop. Everytime I beat (or match) my lowest I get a smiley face on my chart - four smiley faces and I go clothes shopping. I use the same chart for my daughter, boyfriend and his mom.

To focus on fat loss I eat a total of 10 calories per pound of my current weight 6 days a week and 14 calories per current pound on my relaxed day. This seems to keep my body from shutting down and throwing my hormones and adrenals out of wack. I also take a day off of serious exercise a week, although that still usually…

I think I found a kind that wasn't bleached...like 'in the raw' wasn't but truvia was? Not certain, but I was pretty surprised to find the 'healthy alternative' wasn't much (if at all) different. If I could stand the taste I'd grow my own but it tastes bitter to me.

I agree that more whole, less-processed foods is the way to go. I choose to have my goal set to my bmr minus the calories needed to lose two lbs a week...with a note on the side of the calories it would take for me to maintain my current weight. I try to eat back all my exercise calories (I use a heart monitor) and hit my…

I can't find that study but do want to say that I have been losing weight on Splenda. Is it good for me? Safe or healthy? I don't believe it is but choose to consume it anyway. As another poster said, whatever blows our hair back. Plenty to read if you want to find it online. Switch it out for another option and see what…

I read a study that was done in Europe and wasn't attempting to sell other products. It makes sense that bleaching sugar is not going to make it good for you. That said, I have chosen to remain using Splenda. I have tried all the really natural alternatives that interested me and I don't like them. Some of them were even…

Thanks! I don't know why it never occured to me that losing fat and gaining muscle might change my goal weight if my goal is a body fat percentage. Not going to change my ticker for now, but wow...

Thank you! I will look into them.

I have known and loved many in the fat acceptance movement. I like strong, powerful people. Weight is not the be-all of health. These are individuals that swim marathons in the ocean! Individuals who eat clean, delicious food they cook themselves. Despite my years boxing, and the belt on my wall - these are individuals who…

Thank you for replying...sorry you a dealing with the worse kind!

Question. Is it night sweats when I feel damp on just a sheet? This is every night and seems to have started when my sleeplessness started. Nothing helps, but I am not drenched or anything. Just uncomfortable. Is this it?

A great textbook, useful to keep around when questions pop up about various sexuality related things. Can't remember everything. I weigh more than your guess, but thank you. ;-)

Wow. My boyfriend keeps looking at me like I have lost my mind when I refer to myself as fat...he doesn't see it. I box, wrestle, sprint, bike and walk daily and occasionally lift. Yet my numbers are not as low as I'd like.

140-157-166? Really? You aren't just saying that? Last weeks' weigh-in was 184. And the photo was taken a 189. My goal is 164 though.

Atarahh, 184?
-
SexyCook, 140?

128 then? I am really bad at stuff like this.

I eat Adam's all natural, no salt PB. At least once a day and more when I am craving proteins. Only twice have I managed to eat more calories than my goal so the calories are not as much of a concern for me as sodium. Hard to eat too many calories if you keep your sodium under 1500 mg.

2 tomatoes roughly chopped, 1 slice onion finely chopped, 2 peppers of choice (I use black Thai), 1 1/2 T minced fresh cilantro, 1 T lime juice.

I roast and remove the skin from one pepper(I like Thai peppers) and chop 1/4 of it. Sear a slice of turkey and chop that as well. Mix them with one egg and 1/3 cup egg whites, a slice of torn up fat-free cheese and black pepper. Scramble and enjoy. Not being a morning person I have four jars ready with a serving in each…
