Hello! My starting weight is 155lbs ( I think, tomorrow is my weigh in day). My goal weight is 130lbs so losing this 20 lbs will put me within 5lbs of my goal!

I'm actually in the exact same boat as you (even the same gym!). So I'd be interested in the answer as well.

What app is this?

I'm up for it!! Everyone can feel free to add me!

8.5 look at that tiny waist!

Nobody?

Thanks for the encouragement, everyone! I'll just have to keep focused on the end goal and work through my issues.

I think alot of my problem is that I'm a stress eater. I'm the 24/7 caregiver to my autistic 2 year old son, so I'm under stress pretty much always. I also quit smoking 3 months ago. I have gone to see my doctor about my stress and depression last year, and he put me on Wellbutrin. He said that it would not cause weight…

The Tardis is my background.

I don't know you, but I now love you.

I have my family on a gluten free diet as a behavior modification tool for my autistic son.. My biggest problem has been finding GF bread that doesn't taste like sadness.

I also pick things up and put them down. We should be friends so we can talk about picking things up.

This makes me too joyful.

I'm 5'6" 148 pounds Size 7-9 pants Size medium in tops and dresses I'd like to lose 15-20 pounds, so I have some work ahead of me. Welcome to MFP and add me if you want! I'm always looking for friends on here!

I've had an ED since I was a teenager, and restrictive eating was certainly part of it at times. My doctor made a comment once that because I have OCD, restrictive eating is a double whammy. It's second nature for me to obsess about counting calories and having to eat at certain times and in certain ways. It's probably the…

Anyone can feel free to add me as well. I'm 32, soon to be 33 and a mother of 2. I've lost everything except for this pesky last 15-ish pounds. I've recently rejoined the gym and am committed to losing this weight and getting fit in a healthy way.

I'm in PA and it's a balmy 12 degrees here. I was planning on going to the gym this morning for a kettlebells class that usually kicks my butt, but my kid woke up with a fever. I'm strangely relieved to have an excuse not to go, since a fever means he can't be in the gym nursery. What a shame. Guess I have to cuddle on the…

The main reason I asked on here is that I can be pretty shy when it comes to social interactions in real life. I don't know if I can ask some random guy at the gym to help me. I'm working on changing that part of myself, but its difficult.
-
I'll def ask. I just wanted to see if people on here might have had some ideas. Maybe stuff that worked for them. But I'll ask at the gym.

It's not that I don't know how to use the machines. I just don't know how many reps, what kind of weight, and what machines to be using in order to get to my goal of getting toned up and losing 15 pounds faster. Plus, my gym is the YMCA and I don't think they have a trainer available or anything.

Am I the only one whose first thought was when reading about hating beans was Doctor Who? Yes..? Moving on :) Chili is a great way to sneak beans in to your diet. Any soup really. Use a food processor and grind whatever beans (lentils are good as are kidney beans) into a paste and throw them into any soup broth. Vegetable…

I would love to have more friends on here to share tips with and motivate each other! Add me!

Thanks everyone! I do feel better. Less migraines and sick belly, more energy and focus. I don't know how much of that is diet and how much is an attitude change. The diet does seem to kind of be helping my son as well. A bit less violent tantrums, which is always a plus. :) I think I'm going to start weighing twice a…

I cleaned out my pantry and fridge today. It's amazing the nasty preservatives and dyes and general yuckiness that hide in everyday food. I just got back from the grocery store though, and spent $300 replacing everything with organic and healthy. I'm pretty excited to start eating better, and hopefully feeling better too!

I have no wisdom to give. I'm in the same boat, as far as obsessing and binging. I'm trying to recover from a very bad flare up of the eating disorder that I've had for 17 years. Some days I feel like crying all day. But you ARE strong. We are strong. We can do this. You sound smart, and you know that you have to get…

I feel guilty that I was too busy obsessing about calories and food to enjoy time with my family.
-
Make the most healthy choices you can, but don't obsess about logging everything exactly perfect. Take the day off and enjoy the wedding :)
-
Thanks everyone! It's nice to know it's not just me :)

My sweet tooth is vicious. And i am on a 7 day cleanse which means no sugar or bread. I literally cried while making cupcakes for my son's school party yesterday, and huffed a bread bag like an addict with a bag of paint thinner.

9 Pounds is a great start, but more importantly you have such an awesome attitude. You really seem ready to make a healthy change. Add me if you want. I really could use some friends to encourage me.
