That is my budget for two adults. I splurged yesterday and bought a watermelon. We eat a lot of celery, carrots, and onions. That rounds out meals, pretty cheaply. I shop sales and ads. We eat a lot of frozen fruit, which is cheaper than fresh. I also don't buy canned beans, I cook a batch and freeze them.

You can eat healthy and have a healthy baby. I was dead sick for six months and gained most of my weight the last two months. I ate mostly things on WIC, I was so broke! And actually lost weight. We tried them, the funk smell and weird rubbery/slime texture was off putting for me. I rinsed them off, and put them in a stir fry, I was eating around them to avoid eating them. I would rather have zucchini zoodles any day.

The issue is to focus on non processed carbs. After all, a big plate of pasta is not going to help anyone lose weight. Even if it has no cheese or sausage on it. Love sardines. Mixed with a bit of lemon pepper and eat with celery sticks. Add a bit of Zatar, scoop with red pepper strips. My cat looks so good when I give him the oil, his fur just glistens.

My issue is craving a specific food, usually pasta, I can eat a salad, bread, whatever, and not be hungry, but still hung up on the craving.

I am addicted to bread. Therefore, I can't control myself around it, some people can, I cannot. It is like putting heroin on the counter in front of an addict and telling them they can kick the habit. So, I don't buy it or have it in my home. I may eat it occasionally when I go out, but my house is a bread free zone.

Just like Nike..."Just Do It!". And really, stop thinking so much. Put yourself on autopilot, meaning that for routine tasks like eating, exercise, just do them on schedule, and don't think much about it. I am allowed to eat fruit, veggies, protiens...my life is simple. No bread, or products made with flour, rice, sugar...

I usually make stir fry with veggies, chicken, and log the chicken, veggies and yes, it is split four ways, so 1 pound of chicken equals four ounces. I don't bother with cooked/uncooked weight... It works for me. I am not OCD about tracking it perfectly.

I had surgery a few years ago. I was doing okay with exercise, now arthritis has settled in that knee, constant pain and I can barely walk. All that works for me is swimming.

Stealing candy from a baby. He had been doing LCHF, saw the candy, had a "sugar crave", and ripped the sucker right out of the baby's mouth. It was a toss up...prison or mental institution. Prison won, as the mental institution felt the other patients would be unsafe.

I admit to really loving my Vitamix. I make carrot apple muffins, and love green smoothies that are smooth!

I feel your pain. I make "pizza salads", loaded with olives, onions, peppers. It is not the same. But helps.
