  • Can’t say i have been in your situation but only thing i can think of would be to see if you could pick up a basic folding camping table to help with the prep. I got one for camping and it packs up to nothing. Maybe find a cheap half size fridge on eBay if you could house that in your area? You’ll be amazed how cheap it is…
  • “Never miss a beat” by the Kaiser Chiefs. Not really a surprise though...
  • I am syncing my polar v800 with mfp with no issues. Numbers seem to be believable. My wife's activity numbers however are crazy high.....but then at the stroke of midnight, they adjust back to sensible numbers. I blame MFP for the full day prediction being wildly wrong... I need to contact mfp about this....if they can get…
  • but why would you question which is easier?
  • i pretty much have your playlist in already for my kettlebell training but with a couple of papa roach, 36 crazyfists and marilyn manson "this is the new *kitten*". reading this I am liking the change of pace from the usual dance music that the majority listen to. (but i limit my comment at that before i start a flame war)
  • I would have thought Insanity would be a pretty daunting place to start. Maybe start off with something to ease you into it a bit? My other half started off with the ShaunT Rockin' Body.....this looks a good way to ease you into it and designed to be more enjoyable as it is based on a dance style exercise. (I say "looks a…
  • i own a garmin fenix2. As much as I like it, be aware it's gps is not as good as polar or some older garmin devices due to a change of gps chip they use. I wish I had waited for the polar v800 as the gps seems pretty accurate. With my fenix2 75% of the time, the gps track is almost spot on......the other times I can get…
  • no guarantees this is what you are talking about but my brother used to get something called "prickly heat" when he went to the gym: http://www.webmd.boots.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/guide/prickly-heat-rash
  • of course it is not a necessity and with a little extra effort of remembering the numbers and entering it into mfp you can have exactly the same outcome. That said i love my withings wifi scale and makes it completely painless hassle free way to track my weight. I am the sort of person that would probably forget to log or…
  • If my long term goal is to be really determined, i look at a photo of me when i was bigger...that soon changes my mind. otherwise, cut your self a little slack (not a lot):
  • i am still on a weight loss journey and so have thought about this too....from my research your only hopes are: 1) How much you had to lose in the 1st place... i read 100lbs+ you are likely to have some loose skin....could be hearsay...and could be very dependant on points 2&3 below. 2) Genetics 3) Age (younger = more…
  • i don't stretch anymore before a run, only after.......i used to get pulled muscles a lot by (presumably) over stretching before hand. However i always stretch before a kettlebells session.......the only time i cut corners there i wrenched a back muscle......so maybe it depends on the type of exercise you are doing and…
  • Feel free to add me....I'm in the same boat....lost 5st last year but struggling to stay on track this year........and really need to! (wedding in October)
  • nobody started commenting on my weight loss until 30lbs down......even then it was only one or two comments. i am now 50lbs down and since 40lbs the comments have been flooding in. I think people are less likely to comment on women's weight loss than a man's as it may be seen as impolite. I am sure the comments will come…
  • Nice balance between calories and protein I find...
  • Tesco....sandwich aisle: http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=281203238
  • I go for the seared Thai chicken noodle salad @ 257 calories EVERY lunchtime .......love it!
  • I am on the verge of getting a garmin fenix 2 and similar to you wanted the calories to automatically come over to mfp.....tried a few with little success but what I have settled on is: Garmin --> copymysports --> runkeeper --> mfp The reason why I chose this was because all the others I tried either charge to choose when…
  • Thanks everyone!.....i have been feeling guilty that i am not been doing bench presses and squats etc with barbells.......just with a kettlebell. I suppose anything is better than nothing in the short term but I will also explore ways to get a bar bell back in the home.......used to have one but usable house space came 1st.
  • Polar loop and garmin vivofit are activity trackers when not working out and can be used with a heart rate strap for when you are working out. Both are similar to each other but the garmin has 1yr replaceable battery vs polar loop's rechargeable battery every 3 days or something. I am on the verge of getting the vivofit…
  • i tried Promax Diet a couple of yrs back.....horrible stomach cramps and bloatedness. Now using theproteinworks diet whey complex or Sci-Mx Diet and all is good...........(in the UK)
  • We use the withings wifi scale. Syncs automatically with mfp once you link the withings account. So long as you zero it first it is accurate....tested it with calibrated masses from work :-) We like it....does body fat and bmi too
  • i do something similar to the beaten egg on toast idea. 2 eggs beaten with black pepper....add a slice of ham (chopped)...nuke it for approx 1min....stir....another 30seconds or so then turn out onto a slice of low cal toast. nom nom nom Approx 250cal all in but if there is one thing i have learnt, it's the protein that…
