I've recently cut down on eating sugary treats (i.e doughnuts, candy etc). When i feel like something sweet, i'll now have some fruit. Although, at that "time of the month" - i had to have some Chocolate. ;)

True ^^. I'm 5'3/5'4ish,128lbs and have a much bigger appetite than my 5'11, 230lb boyfriend. To lose weight successfully, i HAVE to exercise to allow for extra food. Never in a million years could i live off 1200 cals a day. Even 1500 is a struggle!

I wouldn't worry about them. I've had stretchmarks on my bum since about the age of 14/15...and i'm almost 50 now! Lol Even when i've been really slim, they're still there. They're just something i've learned to accept. Pregnant women who get stretchmarks swear by "Bio oil".…

Not sure about arms, but if you cut down on Carbs and Sugary treats (or anything that bloats you) for a few weeks your stomach might look flatter! And just continue to exercise. It's my Birthday in 6 weeks and even that isn't really enough time for me to "tone up".

This happened to me a few times. I just weigh myself again 2 -3 days days later. (Not a lover of weighing myself daily tbh, as it can become obsessive for me).

Exactly. OP, you are probably eating your correct maintenance calories. Just start logging again and stick with the exercise and you'll be fine. I wish i could eat 2500 cals a day and not put weight on! ;)

@hollyhills61 and @morethanveggies435 It would be interesting to see what you have to eat on a daily basis. As others have said - you are probably eating a lot less than you think. Any chance of opening your food diaries?

Well if the Dexa scan estimated that lady at 25.7% BF,...i certainly won't be getting a Dexa scan done anytime soon then. :o That's astonishing!

That's good enough tbh! I actually like Cardio, so normally Run 3 or 4 times a week. Plus i do weight lifting 3 times a week. Exercise makes your maintenance calories higher, so that's fine by me! :)

Start lifting heavy weights. Stronglifts 5x5 is a good program to start with: http://stronglifts.com/5x5/ I've also noticed since i've cut back on Sugary Treats (i.e Doughnuts, Cakes, Soda etc.) but still eat the same calories - my body (and Skin) is starting to look better.

Yes, definitely buy some Scales. My Jeans still fit me OK even if i put on 4 or 5 pounds - so i don't really go by that. Good Luck with it all! :)

You're doing really well, as you seem to be getting smaller. I woudn't worry too much about the number on the scale at the moment. But do listen to heytherejune and check out the links she's posted above. Good Luck!

I know what you mean, but i'll be running in my local park on the grass, so i should be OK. I was more concerned with how to dress and what kind of Training shoes are best to wear tbh. But thanks everyone for your input.....i'm actually looking forward to it now! :)

I fully understand what the OP means. No woman wants to hear that they're getting "big"! But i do think your co-worker meant it in a complimentary way, as you are very slim & healthy looking.

I'm doing great thanks! As a Male, 1300 cals per day is far too low for you! I have a leg injury right now, so can't really exercise and even i'm eating 1700......and i'm a 5ft 3 female. When i exercise, i can eat around 2000-2100. So if you're exercising, you should probably be eating triple what you're eating now!…

I'm around 5ft,3"-5ft,3.5", 128 pounds. Sadly, i've got a calf injury, so i'm not doing much exercise at the moment, I'm now eating 1700. When i'm exercising 5-6 days a week, i can eat 2000-2100 calories.

I went from eating 1650 (TDEE) straight up to 1900, immediately after i got to goal weight. I was still losing (at about 0.25lb per week) - so i upped my calories to 2000. Depending on my exercise, i can normally get away with 2100 cals per day though. So sometimes your maintenance/TDEE can be higher than you originally…

I sometimes wash my hair with just conditioner....as too much Shampoo can dry the hair out and strip its natural oils.

Yes, i like the idea of using a straw actually. No, she just said the "usual" brush & floss more convo. But it was more the X-Ray of my Teeth and Gums that were a worry. I'm really surprised i didn't need fillings tbh. But i know myself that i need to cut down on sugary things or my Teeth will definitely suffer.

Great advice sardelsa. :) I already drink pure water. Just wanted alternatives to Low Cal soda/fizzy drinks.
