  • Please add me too! I have 5-10kg to go so about the same. Been at this weight waaaaaay too long and all of my friends from my last serious attempt 12 months ago haveoved on. Found having friends really helped last time. :)
  • Hi I'm happy to help motivate! Feel free to add me. I have two kids, 5 and 3yrs, and am trying to lose the last 5-10kg (10-20lbs) too. I am 5'9" and at 80kg and been there waaaaaaaay too long! It's all in my mind and its all about what I eat, I know this yet keep doing the same things over and over ;)
  • Hi I have 20lbs or 8-10kg to lose post baby #2 also! just that last annoying bit! Would love some new friends on here now, I used this site a lot 12 months ago, it was great, and most of my people have moved on now... I lost about 10lbs using mfp last year. Please add me - will log on daily once I'm back in…
  • I am the same, I know exactly how you think! I have been on and off here for a few years (interrupted by international moves etc) and anyway, I am not making much progress. I eat perfectly health food all morning then invariably mid afternoon(my trigger time) I go crazy and am totally in denial that it will impact me in…
  • bump to watch video later
  • 5'8" female 34yrs old CW 175 GW ~160-165 I have a couple of twins I know on here already, love being friends with them. Would love some more! Twin me!
  • Bump so I can find it again later. Good solid advice I think.
  • I've never been a take out eater, even when more overweight. My husband laughs at me because I've never eaten KFC... or Burger King .. or whatever the other 300 fast food chains are in the US (am not from here). Got food poisoning from Subway salad in 2008, can't go back. Thought I was going to die... Anyway, most days I…
  • I've found that working out at 5am, before anyone is up, is the only way for a) me to do it, b) not feel guilty about it and c) not interrupt anyone else's routine. It's mummy time!! I do it from home so there is no travel time involved, means more time for me. Jogging, cycling indoors + Netflix or floor workouts. Just…
  • Lunch: fresh salad or steamed veges and 4+ oz protein (meat/fish/chicken/turkey) Dinner: fresh salad or steamed veges and 4+ oz protein (meat/fish/chicken/turkey) Breakfast: fruit + greek yoghurt + 2 eggs Of course I sometimes eat other things too! But this is my staple daily 'recipe' 80% of the time.
  • Yes, yes and yes. 34 years old, two kids (4 and 1), 5am workouts, travelling husband, no gym membership, living abroad (no family support whatsoever) etc... I tried working out at night for about 18months - crazy for me - think I did it twice - till I remembered I am a morning person! Duh. That has been my best revelation!…
  • Progress... I'm 5'8", so at the lower end of tall, and fairly evenly proportioned leg wise! I have just started a lifting program to help fire things up a bit. SW 190lbs, CW 175lbs, Goal 150-160. I wonder if my GW is too high because I see a lot of fantastic women on this post with 130lbs weights at my height or higher...…
  • Great work! I've had two similar experiences this week: - home made choc brownies in the lunch room yesterday (considered them... but walked past and SMILED) and I was by MYSELF. This is a major win. I'm a secret eater. - today there was office-wide take out Chinese food order. Was offered to me but kind of made me queasy…
  • Not too bad! I've been OK since NYE... I could see people looking at me - I kept going back for more and more and more - but I just couldn't stop eating crackers and dip! haha I have to remember to COUNT my almond snacks - not mindlessly eat them at my computer. Better than choc or chips, but they still add up fast. So for…
  • I'd love some almost-ex-binge eating friends on here ;) Please add me too! I find since being on MFP seriously since last Sept I've really managed to get it under control so much more, logging makes me aware of what I'm doing, but emotional times (like xmas with the family = stress) always sets me off again and I can't…
  • This exact thing happened to me! I asked for 8 weeks worth to get me in the swing of things at the gym again. It was a VERY high pressure sales environment, by an awesome enthusiastic trainer. The guy I got the next week was a shocker, and kept asking me to do star-jumps (one month after having a baby - I had to explain it…
  • Haven't seen the extended family for nearly 2yrs - I'm terrified! Last time was just after my baby was born, and I wasn't in shape, although my weight went even higher for a while there. I could easily blame the baby. But she is 2 now - so I can't do that anymore! My husband is totally supportive, although doesn't say…
  • Thank you for bumping again! I needed to read that this morning. I think I am too hard on myself, I have set a weekly goal and sometimes it just doesn't work... duh! Sometimes I achieve better than the goal, but I rarely congratulate myself, if at all ... too much negativity. I am halfway to final goal, I should be…
  • I am a 34/36 DD too. Have always had trouble with the ones from department stores/target etc because there is still too much bounce! I like no movement at all. A similar size friend put me onto Victoria Secret sports bras (VSX style) a few yrs ago. She sweared by them.... so I braved up and went into VS (I am NOT a trend,…
  • LOL - "carrying bacon to the computer", you made my morning! I know how you feel and I've had some scary days where I haven't logged. Problem is that I then haven't logged for a week... and fallen off track. I've tried to really make it a daily habit, just like the conscious eating. Recently I had a bad day, my…
  • Have you had other hormone tests done? Might be worth asking for them. Just from my own personal experience - I have a mild thyroid condition and haven't taken the pills regularly for ages. Finally started up again (because my periods were so crazy, heavy, and I'd eat like a maniac!). I thought it might help (duh). Last…
  • You can buy fantastic gluten free breads at most grocery stores these days. 10yrs ago i used to have to make my own. Have you tried any? In saying that, I only eat 1/2 slice a few times a week under and egg for breakfast, it generally isn't all that great fresh. Toasted is definitely best.
  • I find that when I do it about 90% of the time, 90% true to the "protein-veges-nuts theory" I am a much much happier, healthier person. (If I did it 100% I'd probably be even better, but I am somewhat self destructive at times :ohwell: ). Some people find that it can be socially restrictive, I've not really found that…
  • Never heard of Whole30... so I just googled it, and I like! I'm pretty much on board with it, and am already a 90% paleo eater, just because I know it agrees with me. (Occasional cheats for alcohol and occasional tablespoon of greek yoghurt with fruit etc). I found years ago that meat-fish-vege-salad-nuts (I try to avoid…
  • Hi! I am so interested in that too, I love to read the message boards for motivation when I am down etc but it's a bit overwhelming at times, so many people... I'd also like one or two people to keep in touch with directly, I seem to plateau really often and always fall off the wagon each time of month :( To follow your…
  • yes please is there's still room, thanks
