I feel that good shoes are a must. I personally like Brooks, and I buy the same type each time. I have found the proper shoe for me. Whenever I try another brand or even a different "support" of Brooks I get a lot of foot and calf pain. Also, I recommend taking your time and listen to your body. If you let yourself enjoy…

Wowzers! What a difference. You have to feel great :)

Congratulations! You both seem so happy and look wonderful. Also, 'bocking' looks like a ton of fun!

@bioklutz How was the texture?
-
I will definitely be trying this and posting back once I do. Thanks for sharing the recipe you found!

@JaneiR36 Oh my. I could imagine it would cost that much on Amazon. They aren't that bad here in the grocery stores, though. You said you are in Illinois, right? Wait until next fall, and then try. They are still more expensive than your average fruit, but well worth it. I would even argue they are worth more in their…

I am happy to give this recipe out! I used a couple of online recipes the last time I made it, because I didn't have access to any family ones at the time. The persimmon pudding recipe is here: http://www.food.com/recipe/persimmon-pudding-15963. For the sauce, I used ONLY the sauce recipe from here:…
-
Thank you! That is really simple. I am glad to know how to do that now.
-
YOU'VE GOT IT!!!! That is it. Except my family has that sauce I spoke of earlier  ETA: I see both versions around here. Mine personally looks like the top one.
-
Hahaha! Thanks for putting a picture. It IS pretty good. Mine tend to be a bit more pudding-y and in square form, but probably taste the same. I am getting a kick out of how few people know what a persimmon is. I honestly had no idea it was an Indiana thing. At least I understand my co-workers' hesitation now.
-
I have no idea how to add images in here yet. However, if you do a quick google image search of persimmon pudding, it is the cake-like pudding that you see. My family doesn't eat it with whipped cream. We make a clear-ish sauce that I will admit looks questionable due to it's rather unfortunate resemblance to semen. It is…

That is because it wasn't ripe enough. If the persimmon is very ripe it is sweet and delicious....better than any other fruit. if you get a strange feeling in your mouth, then the persimmon isn't ripe enough.

YES! I am from Indiana. That is too funny. I didn't realize it was a local treat. ETA: So maybe what I thought was a normal dessert really was a freaky, strange one after-all.
-
OP, if it makes you feel any better. I have personally taken and tossed treats before from my workplace because it didn't fit in my calorie goal for the day. I have also been the person who brought delicious treats to work and had no one take them because they didn't know what it was. It was persimmon pudding…

7/6 - Jogged 1.5 miles (also walked 2.5)
-
7/3 - ran 1 mile (walked 2)
-
And @skippygirlsmom, thank you for the encouragement!
-
7/1 I did a mile on my first go! Honestly, that was a huge achievement for me right now. I also walked 1.5 miles, but I have decided to only track my actual jogging miles to see how I improve.
-
If I am new to this, can I join and set a low goal of 20? It will literally be my first 20 miles in about 2 years. I guess it will also be "jogging" rather than "running" for me.

I like to stock up on foods I know I like. I get very grumpy if I want my daily portion of something and then I find out I have run out. However, this isn't a source of anxiety, so that would be the concern. If you have foods that you haven't eaten and will not eat, it would be a good idea to toss them or even better give…

Fried mini corn dogs....OMG I want them now.

Today a co-worker gave me a Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cup. I never have been a huge candy eater, but I could almost always eat a Reese Cup or a Butterfinger. I ate one cup, and it was "meh." It had a strange fake chocolate aftertaste. So, I am not that interested in candy anymore. Also, it is much, much easier to avoid…

Chiropractic care can work wonders! Also, you might want to ask your doctor about Ideopathic Intracranial Hypertension. I started getting awful, awful headaches...and that is what ended up being the cause. A simple check of your optic nerves can usually tell if you have increased ICP or not. It got worse for me when I…

I will definitely be trying this next week. Thanks for the recipe!

Awww....Thanks! I just love to knit :)

Sure thing! Good luck in the morning.

I am betting your daughter will be just fine, especially since she liked the teacher. That being said, it is important to pay attention to your feelings and try to analyze them. Try to find out if you are just sad because your daughter is getting older and gaining more independence. However, if after a while you still feel…

All I know is, 1200 calories is NOT enough for me to be happy. It is enough for me to lose weight, it is enough for me to have energy, but after months of 1200 calories I get tired, grumpy, and absolutely miserable. THEN....I gain back all the weight. I don't want to have to diet. I want to finally teach myself how to live…
