  • Good question! I would also like to know what are the basics of equipment to use at home- I used to go to the gym (pre children!) but don't have the time now. I have some dumbells but they're not that heavy (2kg & 3kg) - would it be worth getting anything else like a kettlebell and medicine ball? Space is limited!
  • I need to do the same- I am 'skinny fat' (more fat that skinny though ha!), my BMI is 21.6 but since having a child my stomach is a flabby mess. I don't think losing any more weight is going to do a thing so I definitely need to get on with focusing on strength training.
  • My brain hurts just reading this. I used Frylight which is one calorie per spray- really don't feel the need to count it. People who count vitamin calories and herbal teas are bonkers!
  • If you only have 6lb to lose maybe a less aggressive calorie deficit is needed- like 0.5lb a week?
  • Ok thanks everyone- I will probably try and fit in two more long runs in that case! I had been training 3 x per week. One speed session , one short-medium run, and one long. It is my third HM but not done one for a few years!
  • My pace is almost exactly the same as yours- I am on a mission to get quicker though! I have a HM in March and would love to finish in 2hr 20
  • Forgot about the 3DQF !! Might have to do this next week when I finish :)
  • Aw thank you for replying so quickly- i feel like such a massive fail! Easter Weekend is dangerous!! I am going to do two workouts tomorrow to make up for it & try not to dwell x
  • I started 4 days ago (well the first day was a bit of a trial run so I officially started 1st April!) - I am not using the containers just the calorie guide for my weight & how much I need to lose which is 1289. I am going to see how I get on. I have 15lb to lose and would be delighted if I lost 6/7lb in the 3 weeks.…
  • Can someone post a link to the group please as I can't find it anywhere? Thnx!
  • @Satia Such great results and inspiring too! I just started today but had a few teething problems with the DVDs (all sorted now!)...Also the weights I had weren't heavy enough so went out and got another set today + some resistance bands. I am not using the portion pots but am following the calorie guide given to me (1289)…
  • Well you can never have enough containers in your life as far as I am concerned :#
  • Ah brilliant Satia- I will add you if that's ok! I am also going to be doing the modified versions to start with x
  • Planning to start this in April- I ordered it today. I had a baby 6.5 months ago and gained 50lb (shamefully!) , I am struggling to lose the last 15lb and seem to have plateaued no matter now much I eat or don't eat- very annoying. I go back to work in 6 weeks and NEED to get back into my old clothes so hopefully this will…
  • I had the same thing happen to me at about 10/11 weeks- it was so horrible and scary! :flowerforyou: Luckily by 13 weeks the hematoma had been absorbed- but I hated being on bed rest and I am sure I grew an extra backside because of it- obviously it was all for the good of my baby so it clearly worked. I did a lot of…
  • Thanks for taking the time to reply ladies- so varied - just goes to show all pregnancies are different. My maintenance is 1700 (or was pre pregnancy) so I moved it up to 1800 but clearly go over some days. I think I just need to just stop reaching for the sugary/carby snacks all the time when I am tired. I do yoga but am…
  • When I was on here before someone I was friends with used to log "standing" as exercise. I'm not even joking!
  • Wow! My Hubby is shorter than yours (5ft 10) and weighs 182lb so probably have the same build. Mine might be slightly overweight according to the charts but it's actually coz he's built like a tank- has rugby players legs (and butt - mmm!) and massive shoulders. Yeh he has a small beer gut but he knows if he sorted his…
  • Going to try as many of these as possible- eggs are amazing :) http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/collection/omelette
  • Drink loads of sparkling water.
  • Urrrrgh no thanks - far too weird!!
  • I completely see where you're coming from- the less they know about me at work the better !! I am a teacher and have THE most boring work outifts ever and rarely socialise with my colleagues (no thanks!). I don't even add any of them on Facebook. That's not to say I don't get on really well with them, I would just rather…
  • What I reckon is...even if these people are losing 5/7lb in one week, a lot of people lose that much when they first beginning eating healthily and exercising in the beginning ANYWAY. It's mostly water weight and would be achievable with or without Semtex I reckon. I also have concerns about Guarana being a bit too strong…
  • Please do!

  • Would be interested to hear any genuine reviews from MFP about Semtex. I am constantly seeing success stories on Twitter about it and all the website reviews are positive (which makes me ever so slightly suspicious). From looking at the ingredients it contains Guarana which is a stimulant so no doubt it gives you energy…
