  • 20 calories per serving? that can't be right.. the brownie mix alone has more than that in it, wouldn't it? what are the black beans replacing that someone would normally use? maybe that's the way i need to think of it.. :-)
  • wow that's really really interesting. thanks so much for sharing!
  • Just try to limit your portions. have small amounts of a lot of things so you don't feel limited. I'm going home for the holiday's and am planning on spending a lot of time with my mom in the kitchen to figure out how to add the recipe's to myfitnesspal.com so i know exactly how many calories i had in any given portion.
  • haha, that was cool. I'm just waiting for mine to warm up.. it came out of a cold dispenser and I heard it's bad to drink colder water after a meal, but then I will!

  • Personally, I ALWAYS get tired shortly after I eat something made of mostly carbs (like a sandwich or whatever). I noticed when I don't eat bread or something carb heavy, I don't get tired.
  • Just try to eat natural.. fruits and veggies, lean meats and such. Most of them are low calorie, it just depends how much of it you eat. I personally try to stay away from bread, but I'll have it on occasion. I'm kind of sensitive to carbs, but not everyone is the same. If you do eat bread, eat whole wheat or multi-grain..…
  • It does have some, but it's lowest on the scale of mercury. They say tuna is actually the highest. Anyways, yeah salmon is really good for you.. wouldn't give it too much thought. I noticed it too when he said that, but I thought maybe it was because most people don't like the taste of salmon.
  • Thanks for the reply's.. I'm not considering it though, I just wanted to know the arguments for it.
  • Breakfast is almost always fruit. Today I also had a snack well devil's food cake cookie since they're only 50 calories and it sounded good with my coffee.. but then i had strawberries. Usually it's about a cup of strawberries or some other fruit like a peach or a pear. Mid morning snack is usually more fruit or on…
  • I have the same issue, but it seems to only be with food I shouldn't eat. For instance, if it's pizza or cake or something, even if I put it away, it feels like it's all I can think about.. and even if I'm full, I have to constantly tell myself to stop or I'll keep eating it all.. and sometimes I do. I don't know why, it's…
  • I once heard that the reason the body craves sweets is because it's lacking in other nutrition. Would you say you eat fairly balanced, fruits, veggie's, proteins and carbs? Not including any fast food?
  • It does the same to me. There are some fruits that are heavier in sugar than others.. I was surprised by banana's, blueberries and apples. I'm usually 10-20 grams over every day and I'm still losing weight. I try to keep my sugar as low as possible, but still enjoy two to three fruits a day. If it puts me over, I don't…
  • First off, I like your Superman image. :-) Are you staying within your sodium limits? Have you been tracking your fiber at all?
  • We live on $80 every two weeks, so $40 a week ($160 a month). What we do is, we plan out all the dinners and make meals big enough so that there are left overs for lunch the next day. That takes care of 14 meals. Then we buy a bunch of fruit and veggies like apples, strawberries, banana's, carrots and celery and we eat…
  • I bought them last week and had some (no syrup), and again today to finish off the can. ended up not even eating what I cooked.. not a fan. love the concept, just not the taste!
  • I guess I probably should have put my topic as, "We're All Weight Loss "Experts" ", to show the sarcasm! I certainly didn't mean to say that i know it all.. as you said, we're just repeating what we're taught! I guess my thing is, I feel such a need to want to share it with people when they bring up the topics of diets or…
  • This is very inspiring to me because the last time I checked, my blood pressure was high. I know my motivation should be for my health but unfortunately I spend a lot of time imagining how I will look and use that as my main inspiration to loose weight.. this reminds me that my main goal needs to be my health and not what…
  • i disagree. i use mine for the strength training and aerobics mostly. The strength training I know is working because my biceps are getting larger, and the aerobics stepping and running i know is burning calories because i can feel it working. the boxing one is good too.
  • I'm a vegetarian and almost went vegan at one point. Started buying non-darily cheeses (soy or rice), and such.. just keep in mind that a lot of the soy meat and soy/rice cheeses can be high in sodium and keep watching the calories in them. Try to eat them in moderation! If you already eat a lot of cheese and meat, the…
  • portion control, or stick to the heather types of things, like corn on the cob (maybe they can make it with less butter), and sandwich wraps instead of burgers!
