First 57 lbs is outstanding, great job. The way I understanding, and I am not expert, that you will and flatten out is that you can either pick up the intensity (swim/walk faster, etc) or change what you are doing - switch to step or some other type of areobic workout.

Makes sense, I am big on hitting or exceeding 8 cups of water everyday. I don't think people realize how much better you feel when properly hydrated.

I count them and allow myself 3 pieces a day which is 15 calories and 6 grams of carbs. The reason I started is that before I rationed my intake I estimate that I was chewing 8-10 pieces (40-50 calories) a day.

Hi Sarah - I did this site once before with great success but then completely fell off the wagon – it can work, just be honest with your food and exercise entries. People on the site are great for support. We are all in this together. Mark

Struggled a little over the weekend so I did not get day 3 of week 5 in until yesterday. But I amde it and it is a 20 minute run with no breaks. Did not think I could do it but was able to do it all. For someone who has never been a runner I think I am starting to get hooked. On to week 6 Saturday!

To make it "click" you are going to have to want it. By coming to MFP you are showing a commitment which is a great start. I recommend planning your day (exercise and meals) ahead of time so it becomes part of your routine. Keep in mind this is not a sprint so while you want mini goals for weight loss milestones the focus…

Welcome to MFOP- I think you will really like it. If you are willing to do the work the pounds will drop off - most people I have talked to see a quick drop than hit a wall for a while then see another drop. If that happend don't give up - this is not a sprint!

So far this week completed 2 of the three sessions for week 5 - have to get one more in this weekend. Did one week on a treadmill - that was easier than over the road so whenever possible I am going to stay on the road to get the most out of my effort. Keep at it everyone - you will enjoy it more as you progress.

I am in week 4 (doing day 3 tomorrow) and while I have never been a runner I enjoy it. It gets tougher each week but I feel great when I complete my run for the day. I use an app on my iTouch that simply announces when to run/walk over my music. If you have a Touch or iPhone I recommend that. I am a little concerned when…
