  • I guess I'm a little late to the party here, but I started the 21 day challenge 4 days ago. I need to lose about 20 lbs, so I'm hopeful. I'm adding exercise too.
  • I'm from Louisiana, so unfortunately I've seen some winners. My favorites - * This really big, burly looking guy had tats on both forearms. One side said "Southern" and the other side said "Bread." Yes, BREAD. * my husband owns a nightclub, and one of our customers got an exact replica of our door entrance armbands…
  • I usually keep my hair long because my husband likes it that way - and who else do I really have to impress? But...I feel way more self confidant with short hair. And long hair is soooooo freaking hot! And not in a good way. And it's such a pain when you work out once or twice a day.
  • I'm so glad I'm not alone here! This happens to me when I workout really hard. Today, I did P90x Plyometrics, and the first ten minutes I kept having to stop to blow my nose, lol. I think it is just a release of endorphins. It's probably very cathartic. The last time I got a massage I cried too. I tend to internalize my…
  • Scientists from every field can argue about any given topic until they are blue in the face. There are very few absolutes in this world. Just keep doing what you're doing! You're doing awesome!!
  • I hated how Anastasia was practically anorexic. I could have done without that. I guess it was used to highlight Grey's issues with food, but for me, it wasn't necessary. I just wanted I yell "Eat B$&@?!"
  • Hmmm....ya learn something new everyday. I googled this and apparently it's called zigzag dieting. Even Jillian Michaels preaches it. Apparently it works. I feel so out of the loop, lol.
  • I think it would be interesting to know if changing up your daily caloric intake has any affect on metabolism. Like if someone eats 800 one day and 1600 the next, they are still averaging out 1200, but did that low day boost or slow the metabolism at all? Changing up exercise has a positive effect, I wonder is food intake…
  • Great idea! I'm definitely going to try this!!
  • I have that same problem - which is actually why I bought the Nike Free 4.0. So far, I'm loving them! I have some pinched nerves in my feet which heavy or tight shoes aggravate, so far I've had no issues with these shoes. The fit like a glove, but not in a bad way.
  • I own a bar...so...ha...the demons and I know each other well. But I find that when I get in a good routine of eating well and exercising, I just naturally cut back because I don't want to feel like crap. I want to be able to perform my best in my workouts, so that motivates me more than getting tipsy. But when I do drink,…
  • And a pulse...I forgot that part. Although, some guys I know...that might be optional.
  • Yeah, I know. And when I watch these shows like Biggest Loser and Extreme Makeover, they are working out multiple times a day. I figure if I want to see results, I've really got to put in the effort. I think I'll just listen to my body and take it easy when it tells me to.
  • It looks like you are doing really good. If anything my suggestions would be to try eating smaller meals, more frequently. Like two 300 cal meals a couple hours apart instead of one 600 cal meal. Also you could swap some of your higher sugar items like corn and bananas for higher fiber, lower carb fruits and veggies like…
  • I'm on day 7. My husband and I are doing it together as well, but with his crazy work schedule we have to be flexible. I usually ask him early in the day when he plans to work out. If it doesn't fit with my schedule, then I'll just go ahead and do it on my own. Or I'll do an easy-ish workout early in the day while I wait…
  • Hi y'all! I'm from Leesville. Looking for some active MFP friends to keep me motivated, so add me if you'd like :)
  • I'm NOT a morning person, so when I need to get in a walk or jog I wait until just before sundown. It's ever so slightly cooler that way.
  • Big city of Leesville (aka Sleesville)
  • So, to sum it up for the men... Thy want a woman who has a boat and beer, is naked, and has an unquenchable desire for her man.
  • I can't believe no one has gone here yet...Christian Grey? Lol. No, but seriously...cologne, nice healthy physique, intelligence, and I think alot of women agree that nice clothes and nice car makes you look successful. Success = security to alot of women. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I like a man with the means to pamper…
  • Lol. That's a good tactic, Amonroe.
  • Yes!! This is the hardest part of parenting for me! My kids are McDonalds, pizza, meat and potatoes addicts. I am a health nut, borderline vegetarian. They won't eat my food, so I end up taking them to the drive thru. I know that's bad parenting, but they will not eat my food, so I just gave up on them a long time ago. All…
  • You are definitely not alone! I was diagnosed with RA about 2.5 years ago. I went from doing 10Ks to barely being able to walk to my mailbox within a few months. I got so out of shape. I am the definition of "skinny fat." I've finally got my mind to a place where I'm motivated to get out of my rut. I've given up all…
  • Haha, I got Zara Philips, the British Equestrian. Of course I would get the one sport that doesn't require a ton of athleticism. Lol.
  • I'm fairly new here, but totally addicted! Add me if you'd like. And congrats on the hard work - keep it up!!
  • Okay, that's what I did. Just wasn't sure if there was a better way to do it. Thanks!!
