  • I have done the Atkins diet before and lost 40lbs in less than 3 mos. It didn't last though. 3 days ago I started a gluten free diet. and have lost 3 lbs. Water of course. I think the gluten free is easier for me because I can have rice and corn products. I don't feel like I have to cut out some of my favorite foods. But,…
  • Almonds, celery, baby carrots, tuna, string cheese.
  • I'm thinking yoga on Monday morning after 45 min on the eliptical, and Zumba on Thursday. Or maybe 2 days a week I'll do 30 min on eliptical, then do the circuit which takes 30 mins, then 30 on the eliptical again?
  • Thanks for all the suggestions. I did make my food diary public. What I ate on sunday was what I've been eating for the week. I'm going to be changing it up this week, I'll try less fat first, and on some days I'll add some calories. Hopefully that will do something!
  • Wearing compression/ support socks will help. 15-20mmHg compression, you don't need a prescription, usually you can find them at a pharmacy or home health care store. Very painful, I've had them a few times. But not since the socks! Good luck!
  • I think it's doable. I quit smoking and started dieting too. I put on 10 lbs. but I have to keep telling myself overall my health is better BECAUSE I quit smoking, and started exercising. Don't get discouraged, just keep at it. It will all work out in the end!
  • Thanks for everyones help! I have decided I'm going to not pay attention to the setting, instead I will watch my heart rate. Keeping it up seems to be the key. Thanks again.
  • Thanks for your replys. I am going to stick with it, because I am doing my body good. I have been sleeping better, or easier anyway. And I'm not hungry or craving junk like I used to. I have been drinking lots of water, so maybe it's just gonna take some more time. I'll try and keep my chin up. But GEEZ 1 pound! PLEASE!
  • strength training helps boost the metabolism, I say go for it!
  • I found it on the daily plate! Thanks! 760 calories! so my share was 190 cal! I'll have to think about if that's worth it.
  • Good Luck! I'm back at it again too, I would like to start running but am a little insecure about doing any exercise where people can see me. But I'm back on MFP and ready to do something!
  • I like almonds, frozen raspberries, hard boiled egg (no yolk), cheese, celery w/ cream cheese....I'm hungry now:tongue:
  • Sub eggs with flax seed meal.
  • I just started using almond meal as a crust, like graham cracker crust, I love it!
  • yOU CAN BUY STRIPS AT THE PHARMACY TO CHECK TO SEE IF YOU ARE IN KETOSIS. i AM ON MY FOURTH DAY OF "ATKINS" AND I AM IN KETOSIS ALREADY. AND I EAT LOTS OF SALAD AND GREEN VEGGIES. I'VE ALREADY LOST 4LBS. I SUGGEST GETTING THE BOOK THOUGH, THERE IS ALOT TO ADDING CARBS TO YOUR DIET TO CONTINUE LOSING, AND MAINTAINING YOUR…
  • I am in the exact same boat. About 6 years ago I did Atkins, lost 40lbs, got comfortable and gained most of it back. I decided this weekend to try it again. I've been counting calories and exercising for quite awhile now, but just not losing. So this time I'm going to follow Atkins and watch when I start gaining again,…
  • I know what you mean. I already ate dinner. I'm not hungry, but all I can think about is food. It's really frustrating sometimes. I almost gave in earlier because I was soooo hungry. I was so close to going to get fast food, but I didn't. I decided to get on mfp to enter my calories when I saw this post. It helps knowing…
  • OH YEAH, LOST!!!! House is my second fav:love:
  • Well from what I've read, it heats the "cold" fat. That's the fat that is harder to burn because it's been there longer. You burn 900-1200 calories per 55 minute treatment. Supposedly it's not all water. It tightens skin, detoxifies, and reduces cellulite. It's not too expensive either, If it works. Sounds too good to be…
  • Wondering if anyone has tried this? I just heard about it this weekend, sounds interesting.
  • Well you'd think so, but when you enter your profile you choose your activity level so your daily stuff is already accounted for. Does that make sense?
  • Have any rice? Hamburger or ground turkey? I love cabbage rolls. I've even chopped it up and sauted with chicken and rice, or potatoes. I add onions and garlic to whatever it is I'm making. It feels like a comfort food. Next time you're at the store try some Johnsonville turkey cheddar brats instead of polish sausage. Good…
  • I like that idea. I started out weighing once a week, but I have water retention issues so I started weighing everyday. I don't really like doing that because "then when do I log?" I think I will log every monday. Thanks
  • I'm 5'3" and my goal weight is 140. The smallest I've been is 120lbs, and I was WAY TOO SKINNY!!! Bones sticking out, gross.... but I'm not small boned either. I was 140 after my son was born, that looked good on me I think, right now I'd settle with 160 :grumble:
  • I make mine with minced garlic, onions, dill, pickles, pepper, a little salt and mayo or plain yogurt. YUM!! Now I want one! It's even good on a bed of lettuce instead of bread.
  • At the end of my cycle
  • Speaking of water retention... I put on about 10lbs of water every month! Anybody else have this problem?
  • I made this and my family loved it! Couldn't taste the cauliflower. I'm going to use this the next time I make lasagna.
  • 190-214? I don't think that's healthy. You should go to a doctor.:noway:
  • I have been getting knee pain with exercise. I just started water aerobics and no pain at all, well, no knee pain. It is quite a workout. Maybe you should try it. Good luck.
