I agree with the advice to slow down your pace and up the incline on your treadmill. I always jog at a 2.0 or 2.5 incline. I'm doing a Couch to 5K training program and only jog at 3.0 mph; working for me and I'm loving it. I have knee pain also, but that it because I am OBESE and need to lose weight, lol. I have a family…

You can add me. I've had a FitBit since August and absolutely LOVE it!!! Good luck with yours :)

If you fail to plan, plan to fail. I'm eating a good breakfast, filling up on turkey and small amounts of sides and dessert, enjoying hot, buttered rolls and completing Day 2 of my Couch to 5K. One day does not a lifetime make :) ... thanks for the reminder!

Same here ... but record on Tuesdays.

Coolness!

I'd love to join up with any of you ... I have over 100 lose. Lost 90+ back in 2005 and have gained it ALL back. But, this time it's going for good!

Sounds awesome! Thanks for sharing!

Congrats, Amy! I'm sure you will be a beautiful bride. I was married a little over a year ago and have plans for new pictures when I get all this "poundage" off! Best wishes on your weight loss AND your marriage!

It's all about balance and priorities. I struggle with both of these ... I'm in school and my reading has slacked; I need to get back on it. Just transitioned jobs and trying to lose weight on top of this and find time to exercise is tough. Just remember that you can't be perfect and no one expects you to be. Usually when…

Me, me, me! How people only eat 800 calories I will never understand :-)

What an inspiration! Thanks for sharing :-)

Welcome! Look forward to getting to watch your success :-)

1. You are allowed to feel "bad", but only for one minute :-) 2. I find that I have to take this journey one meal at a time (one day is too much for me!) ... begin making better choice next time you eat. 3. Log EVERYTHING you eat, "good" or "bad"; you are not accountable to anyone else but yourself, and you should be good…

That was my experience. Just opened mine to friends this morning; don't know if it will help, but I'm willing to share.

I <3 hummus! Great anytime, but I like to eat it in the afternoon as a snack with some naan (Indian bread) ... so yummy and filling until dinner-time. I usually buy Athenos brand hummus, but making your own is great also. There are lots of great recipes out there ; experiment and enjoy. However, I would recommend using a…

Oh, forget to mention. I did some research and ordered some Osteo BiFlex with Gelatin; it is an unflavored add-in for drinks (I use mine in a protein shake daily). Had good reviews on Drugstore.com and between taking it easier, building muscle, losing weight, and it I am feeling much better. May just be a placebo effect,…

I was just told that I have mild arthritis in my back at the age of 33. After getting over my pity party, I have been taking things a bit easier. One of my problems was too much elliptical, which was stressing my hip/lower back and causing me a lot of low back pain. My initial goal is to build muscle strength (especially…

I have only my husband, close friends and family that I am making a conscious effort. I am also participating in a Diabetes Prevention Program at work, so those who participate know as well. I have struggles with weight my entire life, so it can be scary letting others know that you are trying to do something about it,…

I agree. I would make sure you have set your diet/fitness profile to an active lifestyle and only add exercise that you do outside of work activities. Best wishes!

As several others have mentioned, I try and log most of my day the day before. Then, I add or delete things on the fly using the Android app during the day. This helps me stick to my calorie goal and see where I have flexibility to eat more or less. I also use a Fitbit (which syncs with MyFitnessPal) and that helps me see…

I never want to see a 3## again ... getting close. Then eventually it will be a 2## :-)

What an inspiration!

Awesome! Congratulations on your improved health :-)

I agree; don't bring it into the house or your environment. My motto is everything in moderation; however, there are some things that are just too tempting for moderation. Don't beat yourself up and begin making better choices at your next meal. I have to take this one meal at a time, and I can wrap my head around that.…

Everyone is different, but I took it about a year ago in conjunction with a program from a weight loss clinic and ended up in the ER with a racing pulse and sky-high blood pressure. I would be cautious, but that is based upon my personal experience. Best wishes!

AWESOME! Such an inspiration ... keep up the hard work!
