No easy answer, some guessing, some comparing, some finding similar things, and some "Oh Hell" just add some calories etc.... One trick that helps is take a picture of your food and afterwards use that to help in your estimating.

Don't get let it get you down, and I wouldn't try to "Make up" for it, just keep going..... drink a little extra water and some extra fruit to help you feel "cleaned out" and forge ahead....

As a musician, I have struggled with logging musical activities, it does consume a fair amount of calories (people who say it doesn't do not understand the instensity involved),. I finally settled on just setting a more active lifestyle, as the days that I don't play are usually very busy days fill of shopping cleaning…

What she said! Over time you will find that eating healthy makes it easier to hit your calorie goals - Fresh veggies are a good example, you can eat as many green beans as you want . But if you are losing weight, keep going!

I am a diet coke addict, try for moderation...... be careful, the diet soda doesn't add calories, but it has a bit of sodium and can trigger cravings for other foods..... If that's the worst "guilty pleasure" you have, then you are doing pretty good :)

Sugar from a piece of whole fruit is a very different thing from refined sugar or high fructose corn syrup. If you are getting sugar from fruit.... keep going!

Look into stretching, yoga..... anything you do will help in the long run:smile:

I've been on metfornin for years..... very stable, once your body adjusts it..... Eat your veggies and fruit...... Stay away from the junk as much as you can... it will even out

Try to moderate your consumption, but don't obsess about it... Make your own stock and freeze it, tastes better than the canned stuff anyway :)

Runners world recomends 1 or 2 days a week of strength training, general whole body workouts..... this helps prevent injuries too...

I always order "un-sweet" tea from S***C, and cannot count how often I have gotten a half mile down the street and discovered it was sweet..... yes I do go back and make them do it right :)

I log and try to be reasonable, but I don't worry about going over on calories

Squats..... crunches (check for bugs 1st) push ups of all varieties, and find a playground on your route for pull-ups and such

I am a horrible cracker eater..... I find that at least some of the time I can substitute seedless grapes.. The calories are low enuff that they can fill that "TV Eating " space... ..
