I'm from Tennessee, 61, wife, mother of 2, grandmother to be of 1. I've lost 56 pounds, and have about 45 pounds to go. Been overweight all my life. When I was diagnosed with diabetes, I decided it is time to do something about it. I've yo-yo'd all my life - lost the same 50 pounds over and over only to let my weight creep…

53 lbs off. Got below 200 a couple of weeks ago! BIG goal met - getting to 50 lbs off and below 200 pounds at the same time! Sweet success! And congrats on your sweet success!

You can fit in normal restroom stalls - not just the handicapped ones! That many people don't comment on your weight loss.

I'll need an invite

Probably. What's the challenge?

Add me.

Why wait until Aug? Start now!

Good! 2 pounds a week is much better! Don't beat yourself up for "the binge". It happens. I've lost 53 pounds, even with the occasional binge. Start fresh tomorrow.

I've been away from MFT, but I've lost 53. Got about 50 more to go.

I'm low carb. Add me.

Tomorrow is a new day. Just get back on track. Might be good not to step on the scales if it will discourage you tomorrow. I think 2 pounds a day is too much. I'd shoot for 2 or 3 pounds per week.

I'm in. Add me.

Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Most of my family had it and I knew the moment would come for me. My A1C was 7.1. I've lost 53 pounds and at last doctor check my A1C was 5.8. I don't think my doc is accustomed to having this response in his patients!

What is a HRM and how does it work? Can you use it with stationary biking and all exercises - or just running, zumba, walking? I'd also like a recommendation or a reasonably priced product. Also I see that some have a chest strap and others don't. What"s that about?

When I was 6 years old. My brother was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, and my parents were always telling him to eat at meals. I'd clean my plate thinking I was making them happy! Ha! If I had only known. I slimmed down some during high school but was never as small as the other girls. But I wasn't fat during that time.…

Office food - whatever it is - mostly sweets

You guys look awesome. What a great story. So proud of you two.

Wow! great job!

Ice cream, doughnuts - fruit cobblers, chocolate. These things are worth the calories - fries are not worth the calories to me, although I do like fries. I just never eat them.

I agree. It is water retention because of the sodium. Just get back on the wagon. No one is perfect. If I thought I could never have a favorite food again, I couldn't stay on a healthy eating plan. It doesn't mean you can never eat what you want again. It just means that you limit those foods, and eat healthy most of the…

Depends on where you live. But as south as Tennessee, I would invest.

Log it, forgive yourself, learn from it, do more exercises tomorrow to work off part of it. We've all done this, but we just move on to the next day. Don't let derail you. You're doing great.

What is a fitbit?
-
Maybe some easy stretching?

Been there, too! I allow myself everything I want - I just don't do it very often. At least once per week, I have something I want, whether it's in my "diet" plan or not. I just count it in my calories for the day. For example, my favorite thing is a Vanilla Malt - but I limit myself to one per month. If not, I'd be eating…

To prevent diabetis - but my short goal is to look better in the Mother of the Bride dress.

Ha Ha! That's why it's the weekend breakfast! I'll give it a try - but I'm all out of fireball cinnamon whiskey!

Do you use any sweetner besides blueberries?
