Lost the weight back down to 220. Recently two years ago got up to 270 dieted back down to 225. Now I am around 250 and hopefully…
  • I had roux en y bariatric surgery in 2001. Never was a big loser, went from 293 to 220. Over the years my weight has fluctuated from my highest weight ever of 314 pounds to 220 back to 292 back to 230 and currently now at 250. I am starting again, hopefully this time I will be successful. Add me for motivation if you want…

  • So sorry to hear that. I wish I could offer some help but I don’t know what to say except again I am sorry for your situation
  • I am not sure how to word this. I am new here for perhaps the fifth time. Honestly I have never really succeeded at anything. I managed to lose a lot of weight never getting really close to goal weight always shy by at least 50 to 75 only to regain anywhere from 20 to 50 pounds back. Then I have to restart. This time I…
  • I know this thread probably isn’t active but I wanted to add one. I went to Mexico City on a pilgrimage. We were at one place I can’t remember what it was called. It was a photo stop though. Guess who volunteered to get their picture taken first yep me. I didn’t realize my big big belly was exposed under my shirt for the…
  • I am 59 and have been in menopause for about 4 years now. Exercising and tracking and struggling to lose even though I am losing some inches just not pounds. Glad there is a group for folks like us
  • I get comments a lot from my gastro assistant and orthopedic doctors. They told me they wouldn’t do knee replacements until I lost weight. This was years up to 2001 so had the gastric Bypass lost enough to have both knees replaced. I had the right replaced in 2002 and the left in 2003. Then over the years I gained back…
  • Back for what seems like the millionth time. Still on the gain loss streak. Right now mostly gain of 20 pounds ouch. I know what works. I don’t know why I keep falling in the same rut. Here again to get motivated and back on track
  • You aren’t the only one. I am having a hard time getting back on track after losing 35 pounds from October through December.
  • Some people are closet eaters. My aunt was this way I never saw her eat but she was obese. I used to eat in secret sometimes too.
  • I just turned 57 lost 55 and have about 80 to go. Feel free to add me. I lost motivation during the holidays. Luckily I only gained around a pound and am trying to restart again
  • Be careful with the elliptical too. I have had plantar fasciitis in right foot and then left foot. I love doing the elliptical daily but was noticing it was aggravating the arch. I read somewhere only do elliptical every other day and instead swim, row, or ride bike
  • Haven’t been able to exercise much because of tennis elbow, no weights and foot problems not much elliptical still walking, getting at least 10,000 steps a day in.
  • Up about 3 pounds between, my birthday, Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Years which isn’t bad considering I usually gain around 10 pounds. Starting back on track today
  • It happened to me too. Last. January I started at 273 and got down to 220. In September This yearI started over again at 253. I am down to 217 now
  • A cinder block, pretty impressive. Those things are heavy.
  • Don’t forget to ask for an upper gi endoscopy. sometimes esophagus problems are misdiagnosed as heart problems and vice versa.
  • I started last January at 273 lost about 48 pounds and gained it Back until I reached 253. I restarted end of September this year and lost 33 pounds. I now weigh 220
  • . You look so much younger and quite handsome for your age.
  • I actually have a neck and can see bones. It is so strange to me. The other one is how much more efficient my heart has become. When I started doing the elliptical my heart rate was in the 160s. Now I can’t get it that high even working at an interval on 10 intensity.
  • Use French vanilla fat free creamer with skim milk
  • delete duplicate post
  • Flavored mini rice cakes like barbecue, ranch, or sour cream, applesauce, fiber one bars, yougurt, kettle corn 100 calorie bags, cheese, dark chocolate, toast with peanut butter, pretty much anything if it fits in your calories. I listed some of the things I like to snack on.
  • Probably the reduction in caffeine I am guessing is causing your headaches. When I first started I was pretty much waking up with them daily. It gets better.
  • Can’t wait until I am there and no longer obese. Congrats
  • Just wanted to reiterate what others have said. You are not useless or a waste of space. You are not your weight. Posting here and being vulnerable took a lot of courage. I admire you for your bravery. You have already made the first step. You got this and we are here for you. You can do this. Many of us have been there.…
  • Lately it is 1 cup chocolate almond milk, 1 cup skim milk, coffee, and fat free vanilla creamer, a couple of tablespoons
  • I had plantar fasciitis in the right foot and then the left caused by the treadmill. I tried everything the shots, different shoes, icing, bracing, pt, pain meds, orthotics you name it. It finally went away after a year for each foot. I watched a video by two physical therapists named bob and brad recently. They show a way…
