I have to agree in some parts and not others....my son (who is now 11 and very tall for his age and thin...now) was a very chunky baby and toddler. He had terrible reflux (blood in his spit up !!) The only way we could keep his formula down was to put rice cereal in it (Dr approved after he had an allergic reaction to meds…

For I have noticed that if I stop eating after a certain time at night (6pm for me) I do a lot better. Also the type of calories have made a difference for me (candy vs fruit) I also benefited greatly from a heart rate moniter. MFP calculated the exercise calores way too high and I ruining the work I was putting in...plus…

I think it depends on whether it is diet or not. I suppose if you were drinking regular and stopped and did not replace it with something else, it sounds logical weight should come off. I was drinking loads of diet soda everyday. I am almost 6 weeks without soda and I have yet to have the extra energy or weight loss I was…

Hmm, my daughter plays on the HS field hockey team and part of the conditioning was doing Insanity...while I don't see a problem with her( and the rest of the sports team doing it - they all did...we parents signed a wavier stating that they will do physically demanding activities)...I do think I would have a problem with…

You have to think of it as a lifestyle change or it will never work. I started at 289 and tried every diet fad that came along until I had "that moment" where I decided to just be better. I know I could have lost weight faster with a diet but I would have failed miserably...making changes it coming off SLOWLY but it's a…

I am just reading since I am in the same boat as you!! I lost 80 lbs but this last 2.5 months I have been playing around with 4 lbs up and down. I did get a Polar FT4 HRM last week and noticed quite a difference in the amount of calories burned vs what MFP has listed I have to exercise an extra 20 min to get to the same…

I get up and exercise before the kids, when they were smaller and I went on a "health spree" before I got serious I put gates across the doors so they couldn't get in the way. Now that they are older they have learned if the they get behind me and I don't see them, it will only happen once. Never happened with the kids,…
