Double post, sorry.

55% would be 109 and 85% would be 168

220 minus your age to get an estimated max heart rate. 55% of that number is your low and 85% is your high. The strap goes right below your bra line.

people bump topics so that it will appear in their "my topics" list so they can quickly refer to them later.

I heard that but it doesn't stop me from drinking it. Truth be told though I usually drink unsweetened soy milk these days for the improved carb/protein profile.

They don't bother me in the least. That guy was either delusional or very insecure.

Keep it up! I did my longest run yet, 8 miles yesterday. Almost my birthday, then I'll have the adjustable dumbbells to crush P90MS! I need to get that done so I can do P90X :)

You inspire me every day when you post your big calorie burns. You and your wife ought to be so proud of your accomplishments, keep up the great work!

A good beginning 5k time is any one in which you finish. My first was just over 33 minutes. My next was just over 31. My next was 36 but I was running with a first timer. I suggest Couch to 5k. It's great for getting started.

I recently was diagnosed with arthritis in my right shoulder. I've read that omega-3 helps reduce inflammation so I've been adding ground flax seeds to my morning smoothie and trying to eat more fish. I've only been doing it for a couple of weeks so I can't comment on effectiveness yet.

The one I liked best was the Zico natural in the bottle, not the carton. The one in the carton was the first one I tried and didn't like. I think the one in the bottle is a blend of coconuts from different countries while the carton is a single source.

It REALLY depends on the brand you buy. It sometimes even varies within a brand. I started with Zico, didn't really like it. Tried Vita-Coco, enjoyed it. Tried Zico again several months later and loved it!

You're inspiring me! I've been letting myself slack off lately. I did run in a 5k this past Saturday though. I've also decided to start training for a half marathon. Once i get my new adjustable dumbbells this month I'll start adding some P90MS into my non-running days. Keep up the great work :)

Flax seed is an excellent source of Omega-3 fatty acids, especially if you don't eat much fish. Research suggests that most of us get too much Omega-6 and not enough Omega-3 which can lead to inflammation like arthritis. I buy the pre-ground stuff and put it in my morning shake, love the nutty flavor.

For the week: 504 oz water 105 chops 105 jacks 1 encouraging post
-
I sometimes add a bit of honey and have recently been topping it with granola.
-
Should've got this encouragement posted earlier in the week but better late than never. This one spoke to me today as I've been feeling down about my lack of progress.

It takes time for you to be able to see the results. You are used to seeing yourself a certain way, be patient. There is no trick to shrink a belly fast. Continue to exercise, build muscle and eat well.

Welcome! Excellent results so far, keep up the good work :)

awesome NSV, congratulations :)

Welcome back! Glad to see you easing back into things. I'll be re-starting MS next month, I'm getting some adjustable dumbbells for my birthday so I can do it like it was meant to be done. The doctor's office told me yesterday that the ortho doc is backed up for almost a YEAR on referrals! I don't intend on waiting that…
