Looking at your chart I'm surprised you can carry on that long at that HR. I'm pretty sure I can't, lol. In all seriousness though it can't be good to be pushing that hard for that long. I'd back off a bit if I were you.

If you're losing fat but not weight then you are gaining muscle. That's a GOOD thing! You can weigh 60kg at 25% body fat and look like crap or weigh 70kg at 15% body fat and look a whole lot better. (Totally random numbers used to illustrate a point)

Given that there's no such thing as spot reduction I would say your choices are either work to lower your overall body fat percentage or look into liposuction. Good luck.

Many restaurants have calorie information posted on their website. If not you might e-mail them, I've had restaurants provide me with calorie info that way. Good luck.

You want good coffee try and find a roaster near you. When I lived in CT there was one about 5 minutes from the house. No better coffee that something roasted and ground that day!

Growing up in the South I practically had sweet tea in my veins and didn't think I'd ever be able to give it up. Once I started MFP though I got tired of wasting my precious calories on drinks. I was able to go cold turkey though the first week or so was awful. Now I enjoy my tea unsweetened and when I occasionally get it…

I just finished Ragnar Cape Cod yesterday. Pick your team wisely. Several hours in a van full of stinky, tired people brings out everyone's true colors. My van rocked and did great together, van 2 wasn't so lucky. The above tips are all great. I assume you're considering Adirondacks so I'd start training on hills. As a…

Go find some real coffee, freshly roasted as in like, "that day" then go grind it, brew it and drink it black. it's like fine dark chocolate, you'll never want to add anything to your coffee again.

Tagalongs, I was good and stuck with a single box.

I just looked up Penn Foster and they prepare you to take the NCSF personal trainer exam. The NCSF is accredited by the same organization as the ACE, ACSM and NASM, commonly considered the big three. Get your cert and hold your head high :)
-
I agree, keep up with your studies and you'll be that much more prepared for any future cert you may need/want. I just got my cert through ISSA which many consider a lesser organization but it'll still work to get my foot in a door somewhere.

Thanks for the continued support everyone! As you can see from my ticker I got a little complacent over the holidays. I'm back on track now and your kind words have only served to strengthen my resolve. Keep up the great work everyone!

I did 2 rounds of Power 90 and credit it with a large portion of my success.
-
Yup, it's doable. I lost 100 in a year. Exercised 5-6 days a week, usually on target with calories.
-
I've had that problem ever since starting at MFP. It doesn't always seem to update properly :(
-
Yup, it's true. The answer is easy, mix it up and do different things/times/intensities.

Welcome back Crystal! You'll drop those 18 pounds in no time :) Des- Great commitment finishing up P90! Have fun with MS :) Family emergency wiped out my dumbbell fund so I'll be focusing on my half-marathon training for a while. Today is 9.5 miles, my longest run yet, wish me luck :)

I started running last winter and made do with sweats and a knit cap. This year I traded up for base layer tights and undershirt, an Under Armour beanie and windproof running jacket. I went out the other night in some fierce wind and in the 40's and was nice and toasty. The rule of thumb is to dress for temps 20 degrees…

I just signed up, let's see how it goes. Thanks :)

Protein does indeed promote satiety. Also, depending on where you read, you might need more protein in your diet and powder is an easy way to get it. Edited to add: As for brand, I've tried several and the taste and cost vary wildly. Currently I use Body Fortress because it's inexpensive and they give out a monthly coupon…

I add them in like any other food.

I picked up a bag of Bob's Red Mill Flax Seed Meal at my local grocery store. It was in the organic section. I use it in my morning shake for extra omega 3. Before this batch I was using some Trader Joe's Toasted Flax Seeds and grinding them in my coffee grinder. Those had a pleasant nutty taste.

I can't say I ever had such a similar attachment to my wardrobe but I took all of my stuff that was too big down to Goodwill and picked up some smaller stuff while I was there, win-win.
-
I'm training for my first half right now. I CAN'T WAIT until I can put a 13.1 magnet on my truck! Keep up the great work :)

I have a shake every morning for breakfast but mix it with milk (cow, almond or soy) a banana, some flax seed, some PB, or whatever in order to get some "real food" in as well. I've also heard of protein limits per meal because your body can only break down so much at a time but I don't remember the specifics. I say go for…
