I get what your saying.... but training for a 27 mile bike ride and a 6 mile run is different than training for a 109 mile bike ride and a 13 mile run.... But your right people who do Iron Man's are AMAZING!!! Its just that I don't know if its me.... :bigsmile: But dang it I'm gonna try!:tongue:

Thanks you two... I do need to stretch more! I don't think its bursitis. I think its something called the so-as muscle.. hard to explain.. I will keep it in mind and watch out for it. I think I'm going to try doing both.. heck I"m wonder woman right! :laugh:

Ok so a goal of mine has always been to run a 1/2 marathon. In March I started my weight program just to loose all the baby weight. I was 205 and since going to the gym, lifting and running I lost 20 lbs by May, then I made a goal to do the century ride this past Sept. and lost another 10 pounds. I did my century…

Thanks you guys! It was a great ride.!!! I just need to clarify that I have eat a pbj sandwich on my training before when I did a 65 mile ride... we stopped at 45 miles and ate, but we only stopped for like 10 mins. I cramped up within the next 20 miles. I also had gu on that ride at 20 miles, electrolite pills and water..…

Hello my fellow cycling buddies! The century ride was fantastic! I felt great, legs were strong! No headaches... We stopped at 60 miles for our lunch and I had a pbj whole wheat sandwich and we were back on the bike.... BIG mistake! I too cook with applesauce in place of oil. but not sugars. Any cake mix that calls for oil, replace with same amount of applesauce.

I'm in training for a century ride for this Sept. 6th. I know what you mean. I think everyone in any sport/exercise program hits the wall at some point. i have one. Takes some getting use to, but after a few days you forget you have it on until people comment on it at the store. not that bulky. if you have a sleeve shirt it will cover it up mostly. I say... who cares what people think???
