  • Thanks guys. MFP and my Iphone changed my life lol.
  • You have got to get your meals under control. Track and weigh. Plan plan plan. It does not take that long to prepare a good meal. I eat with my spouse as well. She is actually trying to gain weight. Thats no excuse. Not trying to be mean. She sits right next to me stuffing her face with bad foods while I eat my 400 calorie…
  • Good stuff. Sounds like you have the right idea. My reasons against a cheat meal are that we want this to be permanent. We wont lasting success. We don't want to do all this work, get our lives back and be right back her in a year or 2 starting over. So this journey should teach us how to live the right way. That means…
  • I eat a piece of fruit like a banana or lately sliced peaches. You want something light so you don't crap. Just something to give you a boost of energy.
  • Do you need to see it can be done? If you been here since March whats hindering your progress? Planning and Lifestyle change. I can not stress these enough. Plan plan plan. I plan my food for the day every morning as I eat breakfast. I eat 5 meals a day. I try to not go more than 3 hrs between meals or snacks. Lifestyle…
  • I log everything I eat. No matter if I go over or not. I don't have cheat days or meals. See no purpose in it. Doesn't mean I don't indulge, I have a bbq at my house every week, It means I fit it into my goals. We had smoked spare ribs the other week. I worked out extra hard and ate light in preparation to pigging out on…
  • "If you fail to plan you plan to fail." I live by this one. If you plan out your meals you don't have to worry bout "will power". Everyday I know what I am eating and when. Food no longer controls me, I control my food.
  • You have to want to change. Seems like you are in that I should lose weight but don't really want to do it phase. Food is just food. You have to change how you look at food and yourself. Food is fuel. Nothing more. Next you have to really care about you. How much are you worth?
  • Eat something like a apple before you go. Will help fill you up. Eat no more than 2 slices. Make sure you get a work out in. You wil be fine. Have fun!!!!
  • Going over on carbs will not hinder your weight loss. It the calories that matter. I don't pay any attention to carbs or any of that. I have steadily lost. I have lost 178lbs. There are days I go over on carbs, fat what ever. Its the calories that matter.
  • You need to go talk to a doctor or therapist. You are already in the middle of the healthy bmi range. You honestly don't need to be dieting. You are starving yourself. That's close to a eating disorder if not one already. I hope you get help. Good luck
  • You loose fat from everywhere. My wedding band no linger fits. As well as some shoes. I love it. Keep it up!!!
  • Carbs are fine. I had some pizza hut on Monday, Mmmm loved it. Calories are what matter. No matter if its carbs or not.
  • I would not use it. It was baned by the FDA at one point. I am sure there are safer alternatives to sugar. And even sugar is fine. Moderation is key.
  • I get up at 5:30. After awhile it gets easier. And I feel so much better the rest of the day knowing my work out is done. I feel energetic and productive.
  • Desperate? I don't understand. You only have a few pounds to lose. Whats with the desperation? While you ponder that I found some user reviews of it. I would not go any where near this crap Here are some reviews http://www.dietspotlight.com/sensa-review/ There is no magic pill or "sprinkle" that will help you lose weight.…

  • You are in the healthy bmi range. Losing more weight will be slow and hard. You have very little fat reserves left to burn. Whats your body fat %. Thats a good measure of where you need to be. 140 may be your ideal weight. And it will take awhile to drop those last 10lbs you want to lose.
  • Dietary cholesterol has very little affect in blood level cholesterol. Exercise plays a huge part in production of good cholesterol,HDL, as well as regulating cholesterol levels in the blood. It always helps to try and make good food choices. But the importance of exercise can not be overstated.…
  • Track your food. Everyday every meal. Make sure you weigh portions. Do you have a digtal food scale? Next yes your eating out coukd very well be where your weight gain has been coming from. What you think is a 800 calorie meal could very well be 1500 or more calories. As you track your food over a period of weeks you will…
  • I lose around 2-3lbs a week. I have lost 90lbs since May. It has taken me 18 or so months to lose 178lbs. You can easily lose 60+ lbs in a year if you stay dedicated and keep working hard. Good Luck!!
  • The term is help not gloat. If some one just want a hug they should def go to the support forum. I am not trying to be mean I am being truthful. She is the one asking for help. The help is easy. Consistently track your food. How that becomes such a huge issue is beyond me. MFP is about tracking your food. if you are not…
  • Lol. Than don't read them. Just like you have a opinion so do I. Notice I have never once said no one could not post in a thread. Some of you feel like your opinions are the only ones that matter. It is always nice to take a look in the mirror.
  • She says she aint tracking in the op I have only responded to things she has said. Next I post not for her benefit but for the hundreds that will view this thread. Thats how a forum works. Every one can benefit from others. Not just those who posted the thread. Yes I am. I have no issues with myself or what I have said in…
  • She asked for help. Theres a support forum for hugs. I am not in the support forums going off on her. I am telling her why she aint losing. I am giving her the help she asked for. At this point I have provided more than enough info for any one looking to lose weight. Good luck to her in her struggle.
  • Here is some "help". All of this is how I lost all my weight. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/weight-loss/HQ01625 http://www.diet-blog.com/07/how_to_keep_a_food_diary_and_why.php http://technorati.com/lifestyle/article/food-diary-shown-to-double-successful/
  • And my advice is all the help she needs. You will not be successful counting calories if you don't track your food. It's one thing to give support especially when some one is doing everything right and struggling. It's another to just ignore the elephant in the room. I went back 2-3 months in her diary. I saw 3 entries.…
  • Planning is key. I eat 5 small meals a day. I never go longer than 3 hrs between meals. My last meal is a hr or so before bed. Like others have said, fiber and protien help keep you full. It's a balancing act and I found planning out my meals for the day in the morning helps me stay on track. This way I know what I am…
