  • Fitter than I was, not as fit as I want to be!
  • It's like saying "hey, I'm slightly active, but I'm not a teacher or salesman" It's giving comparisons. Not everyone here is using MFP to be 100% accurate. If they would, all entries would be HRM estimates, all foods would be listed in grams, and all would be correct. This is just a tool to guide you. Don't log it, if it…
  • Are you tracking what you're eating in your diary? Do you use a food scale and measuring cups (for liquids)?
  • I love the "what about when you're old?!" argument. Well, I will be amongst the crowd of old tattooed people. And I'll look like a bad-*kitten* to my future grand kids.
  • Alright. My goals. Start Stronglifts again. I was looking through old photos of when I was in the middle of the program. I was lifting a lot, and I LOVED my shape. I've since stopped, stopped eating to fuel, stopped doing a lot of things. I gained nearly 20lbs back, and I lost my bum. <--- I think that's the worst of it…
  • Unless she is really short and small, her maintenance level isn't 1200. We know nothing about her, so making assumptions isn't going to help anyone. That's why I asked the questions I did.
  • Just... no. OP - Are you using a food scale to measure your portions? Are you logging everything you eat? Exercise is a small percentage of the weight loss equation. Make sure you're meeting your nutrition goals.
  • My son is sensitive to dyes. He's sent off the wall for days after eating too much artificial dyes. But I'd be more likely to kill him than the cereal (Yes, I'm kidding, no, I would never kill my child - in case my sarcasm font isn't working today).
  • By these definitions, I am a bouncy, fast walker.
  • You bought bars from your doctor? What kind of doctor is he?
  • Not losing = eating too much
  • First, you need to stop letting one meal out (a day) derail your progress. You can eat beforehand and go out for the social aspect. You can look up restaurants online, and whatever you can't find, pick something similar, and plan out your meal. You can make sure you get in a good workout beforehand. If you leave yourself…
  • I believe that artificial sweeteners will do more damage than granulated sugars will. In the same boat as margarine and fat-free products.
  • Beef = Steak, lean ground beef, chuck roast.. beeeef! Next is chicken.
  • You only have 20lbs left to lose. You don't need to set an aggressive goal. Set it to 1 pound per week. Log exercise, eat half back. Slow, steady and healthy weight loss. And no one gets hurt from the hangriness!

  • I'd be going to HR. You don't know it won't be taken care of until you speak to someone. Yes, it's great to use it as motivation, but by not addressing it sends a message that it's ok, and it isn't ok.
  • Wean down the sugar. How much do you put in right now? Decrease it half or quarter of a tsp at a time! I went from having 3 tsp of sugar in my coffee to none (but I used flavored creamer), by cutting down a quarter tsp at a time. Didn't even notice until I was down to 1 tsp.
  • In one of your replies, you are 12 stone 2.. Now you are 11 stone 12 (could have lost some in a week, yes) -- and in another post you are 5 foot 2. Now you're 5 foot 3. What diet are you following that allows you to grow an inch in a week? I need to follow that for a few weeks. I'd LOVE to be taller!
  • Great work!!! You look fantastic!
  • LOL I was just going to say -- this is when you're probably the least bloated.. hahah
  • Note what's going on when these attacks hit. Could be anxiety. I have anxiety attacks when something big is going down. It sucks. I thought it was caffeine so I gave it up. That was killer, and then I was STILL having the attacks. When my life calmed down, the attacks went away and I got back to my beloved coffee. hahah I…
  • Great job! You're killing it! It's relatively easy to lose sight of where you came from, especially - for me - when you get stuck in a bit of a rut. I have been, and I've gained. BUT I'm nowhere near where I was and that's huge! Keep up with what you're doing - you are very dedicated and your hard work is paying off!!!
  • I have to admit... I haven't started PiYo yet. It's sitting in my DVD player. I've been on the road for the last 3 weeks, so it's been tough! Hopefully I will get started this weekend! I'm actually a little scared of it hahah

  • Most would log it as circuit training, I do believe. You'll never get an entry with 100% accuracy, so eat back half of the calories burned, and you should be ok!
  • My mother is going on 63. She's very active. She has stopped going to see her doctor. Every ailment she went to see him for had been dismissed as an age problem. Four-day-long migraine? Oh, you're getting old. Bronchitis (non smoker)? Oh, you're just getting old. Sore knee? Yep, happens when you age! Now, for me, he did…
  • Stronglifts 5x5?
  • Use a straw. Seriously. I can down 3 cups (as much as my bottle holds) in an hour.
  • Frozen broccoli, chicken thigh, sauteed with 1/2 tsp of soy sauce. Kind of small and lacking carbs but I'll make those up haha
  • lol half of this conversation is about coffee. The other half is about poop. Yay Tuesday!
  • Before starting, I would just pour creamer and dump 2 spoons of sugar in my coffee. Or open multiple packs of creamer and sugar and pour. I eventually started measuring and realized that 2 tbsp of creamer is a good amount. I was able to go from 2 teaspoons, down to 1.5, then to 1, then .5.. then .25 (I was hanging onto…
