I have used a few brands. My old Polar was amazing, lasted forever. My newer Polar didn't. Now I have a Garmin Vivofit. I like it and it seems very accurate.

I don't count cals anymore....things do change in your body, but that levels out eventually. Food choices, timing, sleep,stress all affects us even more. One thing for certain is I refuse to let age be an obstacle that I can't overcome. That thinking alone will cause you to fail.

I agree with the others that said olive oil shouldn't be use to cook with at high temps. Don't use canola either, it's crap. For stir frys use a toasted sesame oil, tons of flavor and healthy.

Yes! After years of tracking and weighing my food...I stopped in February. It's so freeing! I am not on any sort of diet...I eat carbs like bread, pastas...actually I eat just about everything, except processed crap. I indulge too! So it can be done.
